DVC Ohio "BUCKEYE" Thread

We're going to be there Oct 2-9. We are reserved at Kidani again, but are on the waitlist for Boardwalk (I really doubt we'll get it). We're supposed to be going with some friends also, but they may have to back out. If they do we may try and add on a couple more days. This will be our first trip for MNSSHP so we're really looking forward to it.

Sorry we won't see you there!

I don't live in Ohio..but 2 of my kids live in Columbus...middle kid is going to OSU right now. Oldest is working in the area...

we are new to DVC, just purchased SSR in March. First trip as DVC members coming up. Kids are driving from Columbus and meeting us there. :dance3:

There are so many of us close to Columbus- anyone want to plan a DVC DisMeet somewhere in the Columbus area?

It would be nice to meet others that are Disney obsessed like me:) Friends and family just don't 'get' it.:confused3

That would be GREAT! Most of my friends and family just look at me and shake their heads:) What about at somewhere like Glacier Ridge or even set up a night at a Clippers game?

Anyone interested?

We are from Cleveland Heights and we LOVE DVC!!! We have been member since 2006 at SSR and stayed this past January at BC for the first time and loved it!

We have 247 days til our next trip and it is killing me that we have to wait so long, but baby #3 is coming in September, so a January trip is what we must do!!! We are doing a BLT/BWV split stay next time and we cannot wait!

My hubby and I both attended Kent State so a big shout out to any KSU Alums!:cheer2:

DH and I are both KSU alums!

DVC members from near Upper Sandusky, Ohio (about half way between Columbus and Toledo.) We bought OKW resale in 2009 and just added on more points through Disney. So far, we really love DVC!

We are just north of Cincinnati in West Chester/Fairfield Township area and have been DVC'ing for a long time. We go twice a year, headed down to Vero in 26 days, also visiting the kingdom with annual passes. Then heading down again in Nov for 10 days of fun and frolic.

Love to meet and see others from Ohio when we are there, we have 4 kids so we mostly drive, but have flown. Purchasing more points at the end of the year, hopefully, so we will be adding more time to our fun.

O-H-I-O Go Buckeyes!!!
We are from Berea a western suburb of Cleveland. Have been DVC members since 1998. Have 150 pts. @ BW and 200 pts. @VB and just recently purchased another 200 pts @ VB. Headed to WDW from 9/4-9/13 @ BLT and then a 7 night cruise on the Disney Magic in March!!

:eek::eek:

Live in Aurora, but I am from Catawba Island. We own at SSR. I just know I've seen a vehicle in Cuyahoga Falls with a DVC sticker!

If it was a Jeep, it was probably mine. Where on CI? My BFF has a camper up there. My DSIL is getting married at Mon Ami in July!

Hello from SW Ohio!!! We live in Amelia (a suburb just east of Cincinnati). We have owned at VB since 2001. Our next trip is planned for Oct.

That sounds like fun! I have our WDW vacations mapped out for the next 2 years and my husband laughs and rolls his eyes at me. He likes to go, but the planning part (which I think is the best part!) is not something he's interested in. The DVC membership is ALL me--I paid (am paying) for it. If he had any idea...:rolleyes1

Glad to know there are fellow Columbus-area folks on here. I keep hearing about DVC car stickers. What are they and how do I get one??

Live just SE of Columbus.

(It's) Round on the end and hi in the middle.
Tell me if you know.
Don't you think that's a cute little riddle
Round on the end and hi in the middle
You can find it on the map if you look high and low.
The O's are round, it's high in the middle. O-H-I-O That's the riddle!
Round on the end and hi in the middle.
Ooooooo Hiiiiiiii Ooooooooo"

Gooooo Bucks

We are a Buckeye family:thumbsup2 DH and I are both OSU grads and I currently work at the James Cancer Hospital on campus. We are OSU football season ticket holders as well:cheer2:. We are itching for football season. We live in Groveport (SE Columbus).

We joined DVC in June 2009 so one year anniversary coming up. Our first trip home to BLT will be Dec 11-19. Can't wait to enjoy all of the Christmas magic:santa:

O-H-I-O Go Bucks Hang on Sloopy:yay:

 skyman!

maybe so...my real sport is the alll-american derby. i put together
the chillicothe program that was canx @ the begining of ww II.

( i used to do a radio show every spring with mike smith. unfo,
success ruin our program. oh well, sorta explained why akron
is having so much problems..greed. )

making it work...college football [ all sports for that matter] ,
is all about math. [ feet, inches, yards & so all the rules. ]
if they would only listen to the right person, a playoff & a bowl
games could go together. i really miss the old swc. & the sec
is really 2 conferences together & has an unfair advantage with
a conference championship, that's really a playoff series.

what is needed....back to the traditions. divide all the teams
into 10-team conferences & do it by location, for pete sakes's!

...the razorbacks..are no where near the south east coast, ie.

cx. all pre-conference games. play the conferences games = the
first 10 games. then matched up the non~conference games {4 },
rotating regions each year to determined where the conferences &
teams should play for the bowls & ...if one was really serious to
tweak ....the system when there' no clear cut , 2 teams, then
used the 2 top bowls [ rotate the current bcs ones ] , & then
play the winner of those 2 for all the marbles.

see...what a lil' math thinking can do?

while i like fla., if one knows what was going on, then it easy
to "see" how fla. scores over the bucks, :rolleyes1 ( it's awful
to see fans get on the team). it's not that the gators could
have won...but we will never know......if they have done the game
right. sad!

funny, ohio state figured in fla first 2 championship. fyi, in the mid
70's [when i went] fla, fla. state, & miami...didn't win 5 games
combined..but alot easier to get tickets...& funnier. my opinion,.there
are so many wrongs needing a lil'corrective measures...even for
that strange smell up north. 79' rose bowl, you can't score when
you dropped the ball on the 3yd. line. "what/who", these mistakes hurt,
are the players & families..playing since peewee, should not loose
by such horrible [ accidentally on purpose]..mistakes.

sad, osu choked against texas? that was inaccurate and unfair to the
players. sad, because that was the best bowl game that year.

get someone making the calls, that doing them right. enough!

dear james workers, :flower3:., 2001, my fil was dx with ca of the
pancreas. it took alot out of him, but he is still hanging in there,
& doing pretty darn well! ps, the james pt.s get to tour osu facilities.
neat. i also know a cardiac nurse, & they have season tickets.

wow! osu has beaten down, :yay:the fools-ball team,
from the uppity-north part..like 6 times in row!
that makes tressel a true legend ! :thumbsup2, however, it is what
his players learn, about life..that i think is most impressive.

ps..i was happy to see pete c. go! he was too much in being
hollyhood , that hurt usc , in my opinion. [ stanford & others didn't
pour it on, for no reason. ] usc deserved better respect.
..and it's very, very poor what happened to the cincy team after
such a great, great year. that should not have happened. i also
lost alot of respect for tebow, when he charged fans $60 for a
picture, bull!

as for cindy noble, her parents came visiting when we built a log home.
wow, even her mom towered over me!

Hi from Milford, OH (suburb of Cincinnati). I moved here a year ago from Northeast PA & lovin' it so far! We own at BWV & SSR. We leave tomorrow for BCV! :dance3: We are driving down. We always drive down & I think it will be a whole 2 hours shorter from Ohio! :woohoo:
