DVC Mike Live from BLT (Dec 4-12)

I thought I heard that they were filming the Christmas parade last weekend, so maybe it's not back up yet?

Yep, the garlands were placed up after the taping of the Christmas parade.

This afternoon, my wife and I both got in-room massages.

I had a 90-minute massage and my wife had a 2-hour massage!

Can you say R-E-L-A-X-E-D ?

:cloud9:

I am loving your TR as usual. I will be staying at BLT for the first time in March with my son and grandson. Bought points at BLT recently.

Then my son and I will be going back in December (26-29) again staying at BLT. Then onto the Dream New Years Cruise for his Birthday. He will be turning 12 on Jan 1, 2012.

My goodness the photos are yet again wonderful. Enjoy your stay. We don't arrive until the 18th, and I know the crowd levels will be much higher.

Some simple math tells me this is really cool.....

Have fun!

Here's a shot of the sun setting this evening behind the Grand Floridian as viewed from our room at Bay Lake Tower (Magic Kingdom view).

I'll be at the Merry Mixer also- hope to see you there! You can't miss me and my service dog, Skye. Thanks for the great photos and continuing the updates. With that view, I might never leave the room!---Kathy

Thanks for the TR and the pictures. Sure wish we were right there with you! Maybe we'll have to do a December trip some year instead of the traditional January. Enjoy!;)

I used a Nikon 10-24mm wide-angle lens.

If you click through to Flickr, you should be able to view the actual camera settings (including the lens used) for each shot.

Thank-you! I did look at the Flicker photos, but didn't see the info- I was a little distracted yesterday, I guess- we had an offer accepted on a BWV resale:banana:. Because, you know, it's my goal in life to have as many points as you, DVC Mike. Unfortunately, it is not my husband's goal, so your position as point king is safe! :rotfl2:

Although it was quite cold again, we shivered our way back to the Magic Kingdom.

I tried to take some dark ride shots, but I still have quite a way to go. The shots below were taken with the Nikon 35mm f1.8 lens, My biggest difficulty was focusing.

Spash Mountain - my wife's favorite ride. We usually do MVMCP and my wife rides Splash Mountain over and over again. We decided to skip MVMCP this year, and with the cold weather, I'm glad we did.
