DVC Mike Live from BLT (Dec 4-12)

I thought I heard that they were filming the Christmas parade last weekend, so maybe it's not back up yet?

Yes, the Disney Parks Christmas Day parade was taped over this past weekend. They don't put up the tree at the end of Main Street or the garland over it until after the taping.

Great report, Mike!

Too bad you did not enjoy Tony's more. Its one of my families favorites, but I understand how it could be better. For DW, though, the sauce reminds her of her grandmas, and the meatballs remind her of her grandpas.
For me, I found it quite enjoyable to order the spaghetti with one meatball and one sausage. The sausage is outstanding, but a little spicy so its a nice balance together.. And I think tierra matsu (sp?) Is heavenly..

We walked over to the Magic Kingdom this morning to have breakfast at the Crystal Palace.

It was pretty cold this morning (for Orlando), It was 39 degrees outside when we left BLT.

Everyone else must have been sleeping in, 'cause it was empty.

The Garlands hanging across Main Street were there on 11/26, so they must take it down for the parade. The tree at the foot of Main Street was not there on 11/26.

Great pictures Mike, hopefully you will be posting some from the DVC Annual meeting.

What a joy it is to read your TR, Mike. Thanks for being so generous in posting during your vacation time. I enjoy reading when I am at home and when I am WDW along with you! :santa:

Gorgeous, gorgeous photos, as always. I was just thinking I haven't seen one of your TRs in a while....and here you are! :goodvibes

When you have the time- would you be able to tell me about the lens you used for the room pics? Thanks!!:goodvibes

Stay warm- have fun!!

I used a Nikon 10-24mm wide-angle lens.

If you click through to Flickr, you should be able to view the actual camera settings (including the lens used) for each shot.

Love your pictures, and here's hoping to say "Hi" to you at the Merry Mixer! I will be wearing a Santa hat, as I'm sure many others will be too!

Bobbi:santa:

Every year I'm at a Mixer, I look around and wonder how many people in the room are on the boards.

Hey Mike...one question. What would you have done if your room was NOT ready at 12:30 a.m.???? LOL THAT IS GREAT that it was. :thumbsup2 However I was like "WAIT" did he say 12:30 a.m. ?????

Oops. I meant 12:30 PM in the afternoon.
