So she got her free snacks before she was booted. I’m always surprised when people somehow think the rules don’t apply to them, I shouldn’t be I suppose, but it still shocks me. It’s a small space in the member lounge & there really isn’t enough room to accommodate former members. We checked into the DVC club and the CM checking in still allowed the 2 people in front to use their cards. One lady had an oooooold card! They couldn’t even find her in the system it was so old… CM let her upstairs to “have it looked into” Next Owner just showed the last current blue card and was let up. Neither was asked for ID as I was 3rd in line and heard /saw everything. I presented my Digital card with Y designation which she watched me unlock with my face and she proceeds to ask ME for IDanyway, once upstairs, the first guest was arguing with the CM because she didn’t want to verify her information.
Finally after her family had been settled and grabbed the snacks, she proceeds to the desk with the CM who tries to locate her in the system. Long story short, she was no longer an owner and therefore not eligible to be upstairs. They asked her and her party to leave. Boy was she upset! This could have easily been avoided if the CM downstairs had followed their own rules! We showed our Digital card and was never asked for ID at the restaurants and or at checkout? I wish they would just be consistent with how they handle this.
They used to send you a card - the most recent was blue w/ a silver Mickey head, it had your name, how long you’d been a member, your member no., & the most recent one had an expiration date of 12-31-2021What plastic card?
