DVC members???

I'd love to know too....we are hoping to rent points for our Oct 2002 trip and would love to rent from a Canadian if they have points available! Jo :D

We are happy DVC owners. Bought last year and are enjoying planning our vacations for the next 42 years!

There's a bunch of us here. We bought a resale at OKW last year (our purchase price of US$55/point is looking verrrry good right now :) ), were there over this past year's NYE celebrations and are planning another trip later this year. Sorry, Jo-Anne, we've no points for rental as we seem to be in a state of constant borrowing. :p In addition to Louise, there's also our former moderator PoohBWV who owns, oddly enough, at BWV. I'm sure there are others but their names elude me right now.

We bought in 1999 over the new year eve's celebration and we are so glad. I think it was a good decision (and we had some serious doubts at first). As far as having points to rent though, I am afraid I have planned out ever point I have for the next ten years. It's very pathetic I know! For our vacation this December we are taking our family of 18 to the BWV for a week (two studio and a grand villa) with one night for just DH and I before the hordes arrive.
Next on the agenda: Cruise, England, Paris and Africa with a few small trips to WDW sprinkled in for fun!

We have been DVC members since 1999 as well. Being a fairly new member, it will probably be a while until I'm ready to retn out points. Our home is the Boardwalk and it's our favourite location, we love walking to Epcot and MGM. it took us a while to decide on becoming membes, but we were offered a great deal and have not regretted it.

We have been members since 1994, our home is OKW, and we added on in 1998 at BW. We go to WDW every year, and buying DVC made financial sense (we also received the free park passes until 1999). Last year we went on the 4-day Disney Magic Cruise and then OKW after the cruise. The cruise was great, we would definitely do it again. We have plans this year to take assorted family members to WDW in October, staying in a 3-bedroom GV for a week. We would never have been able to do this without DVC membership - the US$ exchange rate is worse every year. Now we only have to pay for airline tickets, park tickets, car rental, and spending money!

We bought in 97 and like Mike, always seem to be borrowing, no chance of renting them from me, sorry! LOL

I have a question. Is the contract always for 42 years from when you buy?

the contract runs out in 2042 at which time all the properties revert back to disney.......

we will own nothing in 2042....=))
