Hello from Family Man:
Just arrived at Fort Wilderness Campground and checked in to our cabin. Our home resort is OKW. Decided to try a cabin at FWC and did an exchange this year for Thanksgiving. Our normal resort stay has us at OKW in a 2BR condo. The cabin at FWC is a serious downsizing. Only one bedroom for our 4 kids. Mom and I stay on a fold down double bed. No place for our luggage or clothing. We share a single bath. Kitchen is extremely small and doesn't have as much to cook with. Asked for a cookie sheet to cook biscuits this morning. Still hasn't arrived. When our bed is down, no room in the living area. SOOOO. Just wanted to alert anyone who might plan to do the same. Please be aware that the accomodations are nothing like your home resort. Exchange points were greater too! Don't get me wrong, this is a campers' environment and we have enjoyed RVing early on with our kids. There is definitely a different culture of campers and we certainly enjoy the people as we did in the past. Just be aware of the difference in accomodations before you make the exchange.
