Just got back, went from august 26th to 31. I'm a DVC member used to DVC resorts, but decided to take advantage of free dining plan. The dining plan was great. Went to some great restauarants(Concourse Steakhouse, O'hana's, Libertyt tree, Whispering Canyon) that we've never been to. It was somewhat confusing at times, but all in all it was great. The weather was hot, but it wasn't unbearable. We went to the Mk and it really wasn't that busy. The longest wait I saw was 40 mins. for Splash. Walked on to many rides with hardly any wait. I would go at that time again. We got some rain on our last day from Ernesto but it didn't interfere with our trip at all.
Now for the bad part. As I stated above being a DVC member I always stay at a DVC resort since I joined. We are a family of 5 plus my dad made 6 for this trip. We got adjoining rooms at ASMo. Ugghhh!!! Chaos pure Chaos!!
Extremely noisy, food court always a zoo, and the rooms were way to small. I knew the room sizes going in b/c have stayed there a long time ago before joining DVC. I didn't think i would be that big of a deal, boy was I wrong! Even w/ the adjoing rooms we felt couped up. I didn't realize how much our vacations revovle around our resort. It was so bad we went to SSR to go swimming. That was a great day. It felt great to get a welcome home. Didn't want to leave. Now to the buses. Man, talk about packed. All-Star buses are out of control. I've never been on buses that were so packed, and we only went on it twice. Crazy. Thank god this is only a 1 time thing. My friend was down there the same time as me and he stayed ar POR, waht a difference. Laid back not crazy.. Well that 's my trip report. Still had a good time but not as good as usual. Going back in November OKW here we come. Welcome Home!!!!!!!!

I hear you! We just got back from Aug.12-25, stayed at an OKW 2 bedroom during the week, but had to move to CSR on the weekend due to not enough points - now, CSR is a moderate and it is pretty there, but adjoining rooms at a moderate are just not the same. I'd much rather stretch out on a couch to read or sit on my patio and watch the peace and tranquility at OKW than be stuck in a room sitting on a bed with everyone bunched around me. We all breathed a sigh of relief when we went 'home' on the Sunday morning for the second week. First thing I did was sit on the patio and feed the ducks - aaah, OKW!
