Dvc - magic bands and park tickets

Hello -

Do you have to order/pay for magic bands when staying through Dvc? This is our dvc stay, wasn't sure if they would be automatically mailed like when you stay at a standard resort.

Also, is it crazy to buy park tickets direct through Disney? Is there a big savings shopping around, or just so-so?

1) After you link your DVC confirmation number to MDE, you'll find a link to customize your MBs in the MB section of MDE, same as any other WDW resort reservation.

2) I wouldn't say it's crazy to buy tickets from Disney, but I would recommend comparing prices between them & the authorized resellers. Depending on size of your party and which tickets you want, the savings might or might not be significant for you.

We saved a few dollars buying tickets through undercover tourist. Tickets arrived in the mail and were easy to connect to my Disney experience. As previous poster said, once you link your DVc reservation to your my Disney experience account, you will be able to customize your magic bands.

Savings will depend on number of park days and any add-on (park hopper or park hopper plus).

For 1 or 2 park days, purchase direct from Disney as they typically don't sell these to resellers at a discount.

yep, do the math for longer stays. short stays don't seem to be any cheaper.
