I've never been to the MK DVC Lounge, but I hope to go on the next trip. When it first opened, people were waiting hours to enter, if they got in at all. Is it still very busy? Is the location well marked? All I know is that it's in Frontierland, not far from the Country Bear Jamboree, but I didn't notice it when I went by that area last year (wasn't looking for it, though). And I've found conflicting info about hours-some websites said it's open until 6:00, others said 8:00. But they all agreed it opens at 11:00. Which is it?

We went in last September and there was only a short wait but we were only a party of 3. The closing time is 8pm but I believe it closes at 6 on party nights. It's set a little bit back and isn't very noticeable unless you are looking for it. It's where the shooting gallery was near Country Bear Jamboree. you are looking for this

It's really hard to predict, I've walked right in and I've had a 2 hour wait before. It seems to be overall more popular than the EPCOT lounge. The only way to know for sure what the wait will be when you're in the park is to go up to the stand outside and ask for a table.

Is this new? Is it set up inside the same as Epcot?

When it first opened - say the first two months or so, the waits were up to and over an hour. I've been there 5 times now since, and the longest waits have been about 15 minutes...I've been a party of 1 and 2 each time. The last 2-3 visits including December and February I had one walk-in with no wait, and a 5 minute wait. I generally go in the mid to late afternoon.

It is the same concept as the Epcot Lounge with snacks, Keurig & the Freestyle Machine. The look is Rustic to match Frontierland.

Are we allowed to bring food into the lounges? Like if we were to buy snacks nearby, can we bring them in with us?

We were there in Feb. w/ a party of 5 - had maybe a 10 minute wait. I like it better than the Epcot lounge likely because I like the ambiance. The 4 & 9 yr. olds in our party loved the MK lounge :).

For me, it has one advantage over Epcots - it's dark. Especially on hot days, I like the nice, cool, dark atmosphere in there - very relaxing. Epcot stays reasonably well air-conditioned, but the sun can still get you depending on where you're sat.

Also, though the seating numbers are probably not drastically different - I'd guess MK's still has fewer overall guest seats than Epcot - it's an advantage being that it's mostly a square/rectangular room - so access to drinks and snacks is a little more convenient at MK - at Epcot you may be close to the drinks, or farther around towards the front - with the donut-shape of that lounge it's a little less convenient and some of the furniture is more comfortable than others.

Probably the nicest overall lounge for DVC is the one at Disney Springs. It's pretty big, with multiple rooms, and even the lovely outdoor balcony seating looking over Disney Springs, has the full two-bedroom Riviera villa mockup, and has restrooms.

We visited WDW the Wed-Sun after Easter this year. We loved this new lounge! We visited it 3 times during our short trip. It actually opened earlier than 11:00 one of the days we were there, which was a nice unscheduled surprise. I love the cute theme, snacks are pretty standard, bathroom is not inside but very close by. There is a variety of seating with different kids of chairs that may matter to some people. Staff was great. We brought our popcorn bucket in and snacked from it. One time we got right in, once we waited less than 5 minutes, and once maybe 10. We did get bumped up a lot with MMBY.
