DVC Hoop Dee Holidays

Has anyone been able to link the reservation to MDE? If so, please tell me how.

We got seating #2 for the early show on December 9. #1 seating was not available…when we finally reached MS.

I wasn’t able to call until a little while ago, and I found out that we have to be in our 60-day ADR window to book. Since we want the December 16 show, we’re in great shape, because I also found out that the December 9 show sold out in about an hour. I’ll be calling promptly at 9 AM Eastern when our window opens in a couple of days!

We were able to get the late show on December 9, Category 1. I guess that I was just lucky this morning at 9 A.M.

The CM at guest services did give me a confirmation number, and I assumed that I'd have to enter into MDE or online on the website for "My Plans." When I opened the page (immediately after hanging up with DVC), the HDD was already there in "My Plans" on 12/9.

An interesting thing was that the CM told me that I would have to show photo ID and my DVC membership card when checking in. I guess they don’t want any "scalpers" at this event!

We called DVC AND it was straightened out. We are now seeing it in MDE. Apparently it had been linked to our DDiL’s MDE account, not DH’s!

My wife and I both phoned at the same time at precisely 9 AM. I was on hold for nine minutes and she was estimated wait time of 25 minutes….all within 3 seconds of finishing entering all necessary info. I could have had category 2 for the second show on December 9 but opted for category 1 for the early show. I presumed that they went fast
I don't mean to pry, but your signature indicates you have quite a bit of experience with Disney in December. Do you have any tips for me? My Welcome Home stay is this December and I've never been for the holidays at all.

We already have MVMCP tickets and plan to get the Candlelight Processional Dinner Package. I saw there's no gingerbread house at GF this year due to construction. Anything else I should know?

Our booking window for the 12/16 show just opened today. Called and booked the late showing, Cat 1 with no issues. Very excited to give this a try, we loved the OG show so excited to see what the do differently! Batting 1,000 so far this trip with Moonlight Magic, Hoop De Holiday, now just 2 more days to grab a Candlelight Processional dining package and we are all set!

Where are you staying? I think making a trip to Wilderness Lodge is worth it to see the tree, I count that and the Gingerbread house at GF as the typical must dos. We had a great time at MVMCP, even though Im much more of a Christmas person than Halloween, surprisingly I liked MNSSHP better. But I still always recommend doing the Xmas party atleast once, you wont be disappointed. Depending on what date you are going for the Candlelight Processional the tickets can be very hard to get so stay on top of it, but that is my #1 thing to do during the holidays, I absolutely love that performance.

You will love it ! Years ago it was all about the rides but now it’s all about the atmosphere. We usually do rope dropping to do some good rides early on but then we do lots of pool time before going back to the parks after 4. You’re well set with MVMCP and the Candlelight. Great choices. It’s nice to take time to visit the resorts on the monorail loop. Wilderness Lodge visit is beyond beautiful. Boardwalk resorts are also unique in their own ways. AKL is really nice but out of the way. I spend lots of time at Epcot taking in the Festival of the Holidays. I always spend a few days in World Showcase listening to the Storytellers and of course trying out the Food Booths. One of my favourite things to do is get a holiday carriage ride at Fort Wilderness to see all the campers and their Christmas displays. So nice.
Remember to relax and have fun. I have a feeling that this won’t be your last December visit

I called in the next day and I guess I underestimated how popular this event was. We wanted to go on the later time for 12/9 but obviously sold out for that date. We could go on 12/16 but I may be tired between working and also going to Moonlight Magic the night before.

I wonder if the reservation must be with DVC points or not 🤔

Hoop Dee Holidays is cash only, pay when you book, with credit, debit, or Disney gift card. No discounts, BTW.

We successfully booked the later show on December 16. We are going to MM AK as well, but I figure we have all day to rest up before HDH!

Oh I meant because of the 60 day ADR. Like if I have a room at AoA, will they let me book it the 60+LOS? Or will they say you're not staying on points, so you can't book Hoop Dee Holidays

Yes, they will - I booked ours at 60+LOS, 60+6 to be exact.

The details on the member website says only that you must be DVC-Y. No resort reservation required, in fact.

We're staying at Boardwalk, and super thrilled about it because of the overall vibe and proximity to HS & Epcot. The only other on-site stays we've done are Poly and AOA, so this is going to be so cool!

We're definitely planning to head over to Fort Wilderness at some point - I assume the best way to get there is to walk to HS and take the bus?

Our target date for the Candlelight Processional is a Wednesday in mid-December with a not-very-famous narrator, so I'm hoping we'll get it.

Thanks! We've already penciled in a trip for November 2026 too!

Yes, or if you have extra time you can bus to MK and boat from there to FW. The boat docks at the Settlement area, where most of the FW sites like the store, the stables, and the restaurant and bar are, not to mention Pioneer Hall where Hoop Dee Doo is presented.

If you bus from DHS, you’ll be dropped off at the other end of FW, the Outpost, and will need to take an internal bus through FW to the Settlement. It’s a good way to see the campgrounds and cabins areas.

I second this @DoubleBaconBLT . I find it much easier to be dropped off right at the boat dock by HDDR.

Since you're staying at BW I would also visit YC and BC to see the holiday decor. BC will have a gingerbread carousel and YC will have a train display. CR has a gingerbread display right before BLT on the fourth floor of the lobby and AKL has also been doing a gingerbread display in recent years. BW is the last deluxe to have one, but you'll see that as soon as you arrive.

We've gone by bus to FW and then walked to Pioneer Hall once. It was once and will never happen again. We enjoy long walks, but this was a lot longer than anticipated. There are internal buses at FW, but their schedule is not always predictable. I agree with the post above, @PolyRob and @DoubleBaconBLT . Do yourself a favor and go to the MK, then the boat to FW.

Wasn’t paying attention to this and looks like I missed the 9th.

I’ll have to keep trying!!
