DVC Hoop Dee Holidays

Who went to the DVC Hoop Dee Holidays event last year? I found a post by @RD-SOX but that’s all. DH and I want to go, and I was wondering whether it had booked up quickly. This year it’s two nights, December 9 and 16, must be booked via phone call to MS “starting” October 10, so I’m not sure whether everyone can book that day or have to wait for our ADR window to open. Any information will be helpful!

Hi, me again. We called the day it opened, I think it was 9am (whenever MS opens) you do not have to wait for your ADR window to open. When we first called they said there was nothing for the later show and I was shocked it booked up so fast so we booked the early one,(4:00pm) BUT on a hunch I randomly called back at 4pm later that day and asked about the later show (6:15pm) and low and behold the later show had plenty of openings so we booked that one instead. I "think" maybe they tried to fill the first show first. Hope this helps....

If I remember correctly, last year's registration was a debacle. MS opened up and their computer systems would not recognize the event. I remember being on hold for almost an hour whey they tried to figure it all out, and ended up them telling me to call back later. I was able to call back later in the day and book the show we wanted. We ended up cancelling our reservation. I'm debating if I want to book it this year as we'll be there for one of the evenings.

Thanks for the warning! If I decide to call at 9:00 I'll know I'm taking a chance that they didn't learn anything from last year. Or maybe I'll just wait until later that day!

We are there at the time of the December 9’th event so definitely will be trying for that date. For anyone who has previously attended, how much of a difference is there between the DVC show and the regular show?
