I need some info on HH. What view do the units have, if I got a 2 bedroom? And is the balcony screened in? If not, what's the bug situation around Labor Day? Thanks.

I cannot answer the bug question in Sept, sorry....but we were there in early April (only time we've visited so far). But I can tell you that we were in building 15, just across from the marina, close to main lodge. We had a 2 bedroom with a marsh view. Just below us was the boardwalk that leads, one way to the main lodge, the other way to the paths through the resort/pool area, etc. It was a beautiful location. The balcony's are not screened in, but are very peaceful and comfortable. I did notice that the balcony below, next to us, had their own citrinella candle burning, but we really didn't notice any bugs. Good luck and have alot of fun!

We were there 2 yrs ago just after Labor Day and I don't remember bugs being an issue. We didn't even use bug repellent.

We had room 2222 third floor 2 BR w/ a marsh view. At that time it was mostly a view of the large tree out back but that made it feel like a tree house. :cloud9:

There are many different views from the balcony depending on which building your villa would be in. There are pool views, marsh views, inside path views. We've stayed in both marsh views and path views and enjoyed each and every one of them. We've never been disappointed in any of the views we've had in 7 trips. Each one becomes our favorite at that time, although personally I prefer a marsh view as I enjoy watching the happenings on the water.

The balcony's are not screened in. We've been 6 summers and had absolutely no problems with bugs. That being said, this year we took a spring trip in March and the no-see-ums or sand fleas were terrible. I'm not sure when their seasons are, but I know any other trip we take to Hilton Head besides mid-summer, we're packing our own bug spray and using it in mass to prevent bites.

We had a inside path view but it was very quiet, over looked BBQ grill and horseshoe pits we liked it alot,as said before no screens ,we were there in June and no bugs to bother us. I did like the balconys there as they are larger then @ SSR you have a door off the dining room and the master bedroom I enjoyed having my coffee in the mornings out there.
