A month ago we recieved the email offering us the $25 Disney Gift Card for listening to their sales pitch. We did this, recieved the inital sales paperwork, but never recieved the gift card. I emailed the rep and he said they could send out a new one in the next two weeks, but cant promise it will be here on time for our trip in 30 days. Has anyone else not recieved theirs? What happened?

We have not gotten ours either, but I didn't know who to call or email. We leave in a month, so I hope it comes.

Me too. I called around the first of September, I got the paperwork three days later, but no gift card yet.:confused3 We leave November 4th was hoping to have it by then...

I don't know about this promotion, but a similar one where if you added on/bought X amount of points you received a gift card, takes 6 months after the paperwork is signed to be received.

Well....this answers my question to my DH last night "Do you think we'll get our $25 gift card before we go?" I was SO hoping we'd get it. Guess it's not going to happen. Will have to hold onto it for the next trip. :cool1: I'm trying to remember if it is coming via FedEx, UPS or USPS. Anyone remember?

Donna

I think it's supposed to come via FedEx. I did the phone tour about a month ago and like everyone else, the DVC materials came about 3 days later. No gift card although the rep assured me we would get it in time for our next trip. Well, we leave Friday and I don't really think I'll see it before then. At this point, I'm just hoping that it comes at some point. We can always use it for a future trip.

Put us in the same boat. Made the call and rep assured me we would have ours for our trip (leaving in 10days) Several times during the conversation he said your GC is on the way. Like everyone else the materials came within 3 days, funny how the GC doesn't come that fast. I have to say I'm a little disappointed in how this was handled.:sad2:

The rep that I spoke with said he was a Disney stockholder and if I already knew that I really wasn't interested in buying DVC, he'd like to save the stockholders some money and not send me the materials. I told him that was fine, just send me the gift card. :cool1: He was very nice and I appreciated that.

I forgot to add to the previous post that we expressed our dissatisfaction at the point that they could quickly send out the sales material but not the promised gift card. While I'm sure there is probably some extra paperwork involved, it shouldnt take this long and this many people shouldnt be having this problem. My rep said to let him know if we dont get it before our trip, a full 63 days after our "phone tour" and they will credit our vacation with $25 dollars. He said this is their "Plan B", which leads me to believe this is an ongoing issue with many many people. Maybe if you havent recieved yours by the trip you can call and see if you get the same answer. I will gladly post or forward his email response if anyone wants it.

Did you call the original number back, or did you send an email? I would like to contact them but dont have any of the original information I used to call them...

I don't have any of the original info either. After I made my call, I think I must have tossed the card I received about it. I must be too trusting.

We got our gift card from FedEx about a week after we got the DVC materials, the second week of September. Someone has to be home to sign for the gift card when it comes. The DVC rep did a follow up call to make sure we got the card and to see if we had any questions. I guess we were lucky, it sounds like alot of you are not getting their gift cards too quickly.

The best communications were through email. Luckily I kept it but initially when I called yesterday I didn't remember the sales reps name. I gave my info (name and phone) to the person who answered the phone and they connected me to the correct person. I didn't leave a voicemail because I found the email by this time. You might give it a shot and see what happens!

Went to the DVC website and did an online chat, this is the answer that I received:

"It usually takes 4-6 weeks to receive the gift card. The center that mails out the cards has run out of them and they are waiting for new ones to arrive. Thus the delay. I apologize for the inconvenience...They have not been mailed out yet."

When I mentioned I was hoping to have it before we leave for Disney on November 4th:

"If you have not received by the week before give us a call."

So hopefully they are coming, but nobody is quite sure when that may be...

I called. I was told that in less than 2 weeks I would receive a packet, a 100 page booklet that details DVC. Then about a week later I would get the gift card. I never got the packet/booklet with the DVC info but I did get the gift card about 2 weeks after the phone call. I used it buying 2 clearance T-shirts off the Disney online store.

We did it last year and the gift card actually came as a sign for package through the post office. Have you received a notice saying you need to sign for a letter when you were not home - if so that is it.

Nope, nothing to sign for yet. I keep hoping I will come home and find the "We Missed You" Fed Ex note on my door, but to no avail....

We did the call, got the $25 gift card within 2 weeks. :confused3

I just got a message from FedEx with a tracking number saying my gift card would be delivered by 7 p.m. tomorrow night. Don't give up hope! :goodvibes
Oh and if you go to the website with your tracking number, they give you the option to pick it up at your nearest FedEx in case you won't be home to sign for it.
