DVC Direct Price Increase Coming February 2026

The problem they have is the more they play this game of raising prices - especially for sold out resorts, the more appealing resale becomes.

That’s why I am skeptical the $500 fee sticks around, I think they will have to raise it inevitably…

The sticks of resale restrictions, no new resorts, no discounts, etc. i do not think are enough to move the needle when you’re comparing $270 vs $150

I have thought of this as well, its a tricky game theyre playing. Im sure people will go for resale vgf more when direct is $275 per point and will that push the resale market higher as well?

The effects of their restrictions wont sway too many informed people to buy more than min needed for blue card imo for a while... even with 2042 resorts gone there's still some good ones, but then I also believe restricting bcv, bwv, brv will bring in the fomo for more direct points as well...

Theyre def playing the long game on this, but I dont know how they'll call themselves a vacation club anymore when everyone is restricted I guess Disney Direct Club is more appropriate

For those wondering what will happen in the future, the writings on the wall. Direct only is the end goal or you get to be resale restricted to just one resort. Genius really. We think the good old days are gone now, but it just gets worse and worse

Luckily, ill have gotten to enjoy it all, before that happens and people like me are completely priced out of multiple resorts. I'll be really old or gone before it comes full circle

I just added a small VGF contract... $265 vs. $275 would have not moved the needle for me... It might have meant I bought one or two less points, but probably not...

VGF at $265 vs. Poly at $235 wasn't enough to push me towards a small poly contract as an existing owner either.

As long as it doesn't turn into the VHS buying club they had years ago with like your first 2 movies for $0.99 and then the rest at $45 I think I will still be ok

If you have some of the Disney Movie Club Blu Ray exclusives--like for Goofy Movie, Absented Minded Professor, Black Cauldron, 20,000 Leagues, etc. they're probably worth $100, give or take now. Click over to eBay, you'll be surprised. It was the only place that Disney released HD versions of some films on physical media.
