DVC Designation on Disney VISA

Nope, didn't have to give him anything, which does make you wonder since there's no way Chase would know if I was a member or not.

That's interesting. I wouldn't have wanted to give out my member number though. Maybe they can look us up thru something??? Who knows.

I think I'll call to add this to our cards! Thanks for the tip!:thumbsup2

Chase doesn't ask for your member #. Perhaps the reason they don't need to verify that you're actually a DVC member is that there are no "perks" that go along with the DVC designation on the card.

My card says "Disney Vacation Club" but I didn't need to ask for it. I signed up for the card during one of their $100 promotions for DVC members. The offer was advertised online through a link on the DVC website a coupe of years ago.

mine says Disney Vacation Club Membe" lol. Funny enough, my card does and my husband's does not. We need to get that fixed but its been hard to get to this point - we had requested 3x prior.

I applied last week via the link on the DVC member homepage for the $100 gift card. Received my card today and it doesn't have "Disney Vacation Club" on it. When I called to activate the card the rep confirmed that I would receive the $100 gift card after my first purchase. So I'm guessing you have to call and request for that to be put on the card because it didn't automatically go on there when applying through dvcmember.com. Just thought I'd share :thumbsup2

I was just going to ask that. Is there any reason to do this or are people just doing it for kicks?

Kicks...
There is no real value. I doubt anyone would take that as verification of membership. Maybe (MAYBE) a locale with some type of DVC discount would notice and make you aware of the discount. That being said, I can't think of many DVC discounts where the Visa discount isn't he same or better.

It's a Pride thing! ;) Kind of like having the "Charter Cardmember" designation (which my other Disney Visa Rewards card has!!)

I guess it's a little free advertising for Disney too - except the silver wore off the words and numbers on my card so long ago that no one can read what it says!! :rotfl:

:goodvibes
