Update-I posted a while ago that DH was out of town when our papers for our 25 point add-on came in, so he called me and told me to just sign for him. Well, I did, but Quality Assurance called today because they noticed his signature was different from the original (boy, I thought I tried to forge well!), so they're sending us back all the paperwork to re-sign. If I'd thought of this, I would have waited the few days for DH to return, now due to my trying to rush, we're delayed even more. Just wanted to alert people though. If you're thinking of forging DH's name of documents for an add-on, just to save time, think again! BTW, Qality Assurance was at least nice and didn't ask why the signature looked different.

BUSTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But heck, it was worth the shot.

Hope that add-on is finalized soon!

Laura

OMG!!! i'm shocked!!! Well, at least they were nice about it, but I'm still shocked they looked back at your old documents!!

simba should be disappointed in his mom. the fact that you would forge a signature in post 9/11 america is hugely disappointing. at least they stopped you.

I can assure you they do read this board! :)

Sorry Simba's Mom! I remember when you posted that you were going to do this. (And it was with your hubby's full permission as I recall ;))

Glad they have nothing on my hubby's signature. (Pumba is whistling with her hands behind hr back loking innocently upwards):p

Don't worry Simba's mom, I'm not judging you :) There is a big difference between a wife signing for her husband with her husband's permission then say a would be terrorist trying to get a driver's license under false pretenses.
P.S. sgtpet, I just asked one of the attorneys at my work if that would be considered forgery he stated "Forgery is the attempt to sign someone's name without their knowledge in order to deceive them for financial gain, etc." So if Simba's mom had her husband's permission (which she stated she did) then that is not forgery.

This was not forgery according to the facts given, but DVD has chosen to protect themselves and I don't blame them.

I am happy that DVC had used greater control than what is required by law. Simba, did your husband talk to DVC and say it was ok for you to sign for him. I believe you that he had no problem with it, but it seems to me the law is weak when it comes to a spouse signing for another.

When I got back my Federal Tax refund I needed my wife to sign the check as well as I even though it was being deposited in our account.

Big Brother is watching. ;)

Last year, I posted about the the one and only bad experience that I had with purchasing DVC. When I called DVC to speak to a manager, the first thing I was asked was, "Are you POOH&PIGLET?"

No, DH didn't call DVC and neither did I. He was out of the country on business, and we were just so anxious, he told me to go ahead and sign. This was at 10:30 at night-I could have at least waited til the next morning and called our guide to tell him what I was going to do. But nooo-I was in too much of a rush to get those 25 points! Gee, now I hope this doesn't interfere with the morals clause in my job-as a teacher, we're supposed to uphold the law and all!

I want to know, where you go to apply for a job working for Disney and gettting paid to read the DIS boards!!!!!! Is that a perfect job or what????? :D :D :D :D

Thanks. I'll have to remember to forge his signature again when we do an add-on... just to be consistent!
