If they don’t announce the start of the BRV refurbishment, there will be an epic revolt. BRV is way overdue and was rudely pushed aside for Poly and VGF.What referbs do you guys think will get announced this year?
I’m hoping for a AKV full referb announcement. It’s due in 2023
Well, SSR was delayed due to the pandemic and other issues, then Poly and VGF were started before BRV for reasons not shared with owners.Just out of curiosity why would one resort need to be pushed aside for another? The dues from each resort funds it’s own remodel.
Is it just a labor shortage thing?
That and supply chain issues.Just out of curiosity why would one resort need to be pushed aside for another? The dues from each resort funds it’s own remodel.

Yeah, the supply is chained to VGF...That and supply chain issues.

Also, Poly and VGF were soft goods refurb and BRV is a full one. My guess is they thought they could get those two done faster so they could then have more time to get BRV done without potential complications with shut downs, shortages, etc.
I agree with others though that they can not put anything else in front of BRV or those owners will have the right to complain big time!!!
The HHI refurb has started and will continue into 2022, so I am curious to hear if they announce anything at the meeting.Just out of curiosity why would one resort need to be pushed aside for another? The dues from each resort funds it’s own remodel.

That’s how it is still. Prepandemic, it was nice to speak to execs at the meet & greet after the meeting, but there definitely wasn’t any free exchange at the meeting itself. The condo association meeting meets the requirements of the Florida timeshare laws, and that’s it. I’m hoping that this year they’ll update the refurbishment schedule and give more details about the VGF Resort Studios, but I’m not holding my breath. And I won’t be there. When we first became members, I was initially excited to go to the meetings, and attended in 2003, 2005, and 2007. I don't remember getting any gifts at those, and the 2007 one was held at a non-DVC resort, which I found a little odd. But my biggest disappointment was that they really keep the members "buttoned up", that is, the members are allowed to say very little, at least they were back then.
I'm going to lead that revolt. Please sign on to my glorious revolution. If they don’t announce the start of the BRV refurbishment, there will be an epic revolt. BRV is way overdue and was rudely pushed aside for Poly and VGF.
It's 2 PM at the Contemporary Convention Center.I have made a reservation to attend. Can anyone post the date and time again? I think it’s Thursday at 3p at the Contemporary.
I would think there is also some consideration of availability. Having a lot of units out for rehab at one time would be difficult for members.Just out of curiosity why would one resort need to be pushed aside for another? The dues from each resort funds it’s own remodel.

Well, at least they promised 2022 for BRV! And apparently they learned some kind of lesson, because they didn't present a schedule for any other refurbs.BRV keeps getting pushed back because it is unloved by management. There is no other theory I will entertain as fact.
My pitchfork is sharp and ready.
