Those newer sleeper sofas with the non-removable cushions are the hardest things to sit on. Like a concrete bench.

I haven't actually stayed in one yet, but I do have a studio booked for June. I'm feeling terrible b/c I invited my DSis along to stay with us before I realized she would be stuck on a pullout sofa. Are they nice mattresses at least or are they thin & uncomfortable?

I hate the idea of a sofa sleeper and a queen/king! I want to beds. Why should my kids have to sleep on a sofa sleeper when I am paying premium money? To make it worse the 1 bedrooms have a sofa sleeper and a bed instead of 2 beds. So I am paying more points for more room but now kids will be fighting over who gets the bed. I don't blame them, I hate sleeping on those things and when you come back to your room so tired you just want to be comfortable and sleep well. I totally overlooked this when we bought:sad2:

Well yes we all have invested a lot of money and we all enjoy Disney a lot. I agree, I do not think that we should be paying extra for the privilage to sleep on a sleeper sofa. That makes me feel so special that we get to do this.

DVC/Disney plans this out like they plan everything. Sure it is nice to have a place to sit in my room and relax, give me a loveseat then without the sleeper and a 2nd bed please. By putting the sleeper sofas in every room, it makes you realize when you go with your family of 4 or 5 it's just not comfortable in a studio or 1 Br, you should have got the next size room, which means more points. This means add ons and more dues for members so we can get a 2 BR or GV everytime so our families of 4 or 5 all can have a REAL BED like we do in our Houses. Our HOMES at DVC, we get sleeper sofas.

I know I could have said NO and not bought into DVC. I like DVC, it has a lot to offer and a lot of benefits, the only down side I see are the sleeper sofas. Someday when all our kids are gone, me and my wife will go enjoy sitting of those sleeper sofas. We thought DVC was designed and geared towards family and family vacations. We definately have a lot more vacations and that is nice. The kids just have to sleep on the pull out couches, instead of the beds they used to sleep in when we went to Disney before we got DVC and stayed in other Disney resorts that had all the beds we wanted.

Thanks for listening to me vent..........I really do LOVE DVC and the DVC resorts and WDW. I just wish they would donate all those sleeper sofas to Savation Army or some other in need origanization that could use them and appreciate them.............and give us more BEDS and throw a nice chair or loveseat in there for us to sit in.

We can always just stay at OKW for reasonable amounts of points or in the other hotels in the WDW Disney Collection for a lot more points........with only 7 months out ressies........see I told you there are lots of benefits!

I agree, there's no way they could put 2 queens in a BWV room. Or a king and a sofabed.

I have warmed up to the setup though. I like having the sofa closed during the day, so much more room.

I hadn't noticed that before. SSR is the only resort where the sofabed is a queen.

They aren't so great as couches, but, they make great beds! I often end up in pain when I'm on vacation--even when I'm not walking 10 miles a day--from sleeping on beds that are too soft.

One of the things I like about DVC is that I have the option of the nice firm bed, but, that it can stay closed and out of the way.

We only use studios for the two of us, so current layout is what we like. If we have our children with us we either go with one or two bedroom. If we have the two bedroom I'd prefer the second bedroom to have 2 queens instead of sleeper sofa.

My kids (DD14, DS10) actually fight over who gets the sofa sleeper. We had to make a schedule for it before we left our house for the last trip to prevent fights at bedtime :rotfl:
I think the nice thing with the 1br is that the sofa sleeper is a queen size, now if I had kids who would share a bed :lmao: that would be great!

I like the sofa. I'd rather watch tv sitting on the sofa than on a bed or chair. It also seems roomier without a second bed.
