How many of us DVCers are using the Disney Visa Card? Or are we using a airline card instead?

I don't use any of the above. My card of choice is a debit card.

I use my SWA VISA card and pay it off every month. I have reaped many a free RR flight with it and that is worth more than the Disney card offers me.

I voted Disney Visa, although it is much more complex than that.
I have two 'every day cards' that I alternate between, depending upon where we are in the month.
I also have a 'only work related card'.

I now use Disney VISA almost exclusively; I only fly from NYC to Orlando and with the latest deals on Jet Blue and other discount airlines the frequent flyer programs don't make as much sense as straight-up Disney Dollars! Was also too late to be part of the Disney Club that is now expiring and am hoping, as are others, that some of those membership benefits will transfer to Disney VISA cardholders... !

I use my AAA card sometimes - or my Capital one (great interest rate - if I know I will have a balance)

AAA gives me a gasoline discount and some back on other purchases.

I don't fly.....sorry....

American Express rewards is primary card for work and personal use. We have a 2% rebate CitiCard as a second personal card. We also have the Disney VISA but don't use it all that much. We got it because they were eliminating the Disney Club. But so far their program is not very competitive. We do use it when we are on property or at a Disney Store. Don't ask why, we just do.

We do not have or want a debit card. Why give merchants direct access to the checking account, give up the float and miss the rebates on the credit cards? The 2% CitiCard is great deal, no fee for the card, we never carry a balance so I don't know what the interest rates are. Only problem is that you can only get $500 maximum per year in rebates. So that card gets very little use in the last quarter of the year.

Because of my business travel we have lots of AMEX, Marriott, Hilton and USAirways points for travel and vacations.

We've started paying for just about everything with either the Disney Visa or AMEX...then pay it off in full. Why not earn points, rewards, or whatever for stuff you're gonna buy anyway?

We use the Disney Visa mostly. We also use our Toys R Us card before Xmas to rack up certificates.

My situation is confusing also, for my hubbys business, we use his citibank advantage, we fly to St. Maarten every year, so buying 4 tickets which works out to be anywhere from 1600 - 3000, so those free seats are awsome!!!

Then for personal, we use my Citibank Advantage (gotta get my miles!!), my Starwood AMEX, mostly at Costco because they only take AMEX, if I am ordering online, LLBean I use my LLBEAN card for free shipping, and really all other online purchases are on my Disney Visa. Now if they reopened the Disney Store in our local mall, I would probably use it more often, but between the Disney club Discount (which todays is the last day) and some of the sales and free shipping, I guess I really don't miss the store, just more convenient if you have to return something!

I also don't use debit cards, for one, if you dispute something, they already have your money, and two, say for car rentals, I don't think you have the insurance you get with a regular card. My understanding is even if its backed by visa or Mastercard, that only gives you overdraft protection, but I may be wrong on this!

NWA Visa, and we pay it off every month. We use the miles for free tickets, and sometimes for upgrades to First Class.

As I suspected a lot of us are committed to many cards. I use primarily three: the Hilton American Express card which gives me 3 Hilton HHonors points for every dollar. I have 6 free nights for my Tokyo Disneyland visit. It took me years to build it up.

My United Airlines Mileage Plus Visa. This card has a $60 fee. Lately, I have been wondering if I should cancel this card. There are often cheaper flights than United and I don't like the annual fee.

My Disney Visa which I have been using more frequently.

Larry..there are so many cards out there competing, I would never use a card with a fee..jmo you might try asking them to eliminte the fee..if they say no then bail.

I use my Disney Visa and put absulutely everything on it..bills, shopping, and so I don't forget or get behind I pay it weekly online (my bank does not charge for these transactions) I have several hundred Disney rewards burning a hole on my pocket for our trip in 2 weeks!!!

1) We use our Northwest Airline VISA card, pay if off monthly.
2) The miles give us a great vacation trip each year.
3) So far, we have gotten
. . . (3) First Class round-trips to Hawaii
. . . (2) First Class round-trips to England & France
. . . (1) First Class round-trip to Hawaii scheduled for April-04
. . . (2) First Class tickets worth of air-miles still unused

NOTE: We had a First-Day Disney VISA, but when we examined the benefits (rewards) versus other cards, we got rid of the card as we thought the benefits were not enough for us.

Same here. I do have a Disney Visa, but only use it for some internet purchases. My main card is the about SWA Visa. So far I have gotten 5 free RT tickets with it (together with the Rapid Rewards points for flying). Far more than the Disney Visa would have gotten us.::MickeyMo

I'm using the Disney Visa and my airline mileage card about the same. The faster I build up both the faster I get "home". :earsgirl:

I didn't vote, because I actually use both my NWairlines Visa AND my Disney Visa. I do use the airline card more. In fact, I try to use them instead of a checkbook. I don't carry a balance on either.

I just looked into the website for the NWA Visa and it appears that you can pay your annual fee with miles! That's a new innovation. I wish United offered it!

I use my Amtrak Guest Rewards card. I have a Disney Visa, but rarely use it. The Amtrak card reaps more benefits!
