We use our airline(Continental) Master Card for "everything". Our motto is anything over $10 we charge. You name it "we charge it"........gas,utilities,taxes,cell phones, groceries, restraunts, etc.

As another poster said, why not charge it and get something back(FF miles) for free. Just in the last 2 years we have flown for free to..........Vegas twice(1st class- 2 tx) San Antonio,Tx (3 people rt) so for the $50 annual fee for our credit card we got 7 airline tx.

Also with Continental's card you get 1000 miles for booking on-line,if you dine at over 5000 restraunts you get 10 miles for every dollar spent. Also you get double miles at about 6 stores(Lowes,Best Buy,etc). Double miles for your puchase of airline tx on their website, etc and the list goes on.

And we always pay our bill in full when it arrives.::yes::

P.S. We do have the Disney Visa but haven't used it yet.

I use my disney visa exclusively. I just got free luggage from the disney catalog with the rewards:teeth:

Hello - We use our Disney Visa for all purchases...we have about $250 Disney dollars. I hadn't thought of using our credit card for bills, and I plan to check it out. I deduct the Visa purchases in my check book, and then every week or so pay it online...this way I am not tempted to buy stuff I can't afford. Well...there was the Dec. Disney trip and then Christmas, but I have reformed, Honest!

We use our MBNA/Fidelity mastercard with a 2% return into our DD5's college fund. For us, unfortunately, life isn't just about travel rewards! :D

I hear you. Our youngest is in his 4th yr of a 5 yr program at MSU. The oldest one graduated from LTU. Thankfully we were able to put a LOT of their expenses on our SWA CC and were able to reap some benefits!!!!!

Best wishes to saving up for your DD college. I can't even IMAGINE what the costs are going to be like when she is ready to go!!!!!

I would like to thank everyone for contributing to this poll. It looks like more than 50% of us are using the Disney Visa. That is more than I would have guessed!

Happy New Year!

Hi, I mainly use my MBNA visa, do not carry a balance.

For those of you who use the SWA airline visa. How hard is it to get enough points for a round trip ticket?

we just started using the southwest visa this past fall. we put everything on it and pay it off every month.

we put out dvc purchase on it :teeth: earning 11 sw pts right off the bat, plus the 4pts to sign up.

For those of you who use the SWA airline visa. How hard is it to get enough points for a round trip ticket?

it takes 16 southwest rapid rewards'points' for a free ticket. you get 1 pt for every $1200 spent on the sw visa.

if you book a ticket online at southwest.com you get 3 pts per roundtrip (new program valid until 6/30)

so, depending on your regular spending habits you could rack up a free ticket fairly quickly.
