Dvc and dining plan reservations

This is our first visit as a DVC owner. We are staying at BLT 6/30 - 7/6. I know we can make dining reservations 180 days prior to reservations but I'm a little confuse on the +10 does that mean 190 before reservations?
Should reservations be done online or should I call them?

The +10 means the number of days you can make your reservations beyond the 180 days. Using your example, 180 days before 6/30 you will be able to make reservations for your entire trip (through 7/6).

I'd make them on line as soon as you are able. Some have said you can do it at 3AM Eastern time (someone please correct this if it is wrong). I have found, however, that the online agents can sometimes find reservations I have not been able to make on-line.
