DVC (AKV) to cruise?

I'm strongly considering adding on a cruise to our Thanksgiving trip instead of adding on more nights at AKV (Jambo). I've found a few interesting cruises out of both Port Canaveral and Tampa but I'm having a hard time deciding exactly which one we want to do. It is our first time cruising so we are only going to do a 4 or 5 night one. We won't be doing a Disney cruise because it is really hard to justify paying more than double for the four of us to sail on Disney as opposed to one of the other lines.

Any sugestions from fellow DVCers on a better port to sail out of? Any favorite cruise out of either of these ports? Is it easier to get to either port from AKV?

If you are looking at a 7 day cruise, I can highly recommend the Freedom of the Seas out of Port Canaveral. I've cruised about 15 times on all of the major lines, and this ship is hands down my favorite ship of all of them.
