DVC: Add-on purchases for members

Sorry if this has been asked before, I'm sure it has....

When you become a DVC member and want to buy additional points (say 25), can those be at for any of the DVC properties, or does it have to be the same as your home?

It can be at any resort (if available) but I believe you need to buy 50 points to using DVC financing for the add-on.

However, it does have to be the same use year unless you are buying at least 150 more points. That could make a snag because DVD may not have your particular use year in stock, so to speak. But the waitlist seems to work just fine.
