DVC Add On Contracts

We currently have a Poly contract that has been fun, but are looking at options to add more. We are toying with resale but also looking at buying a add on contract from Disney for Poly. Their current "deal" is X amount off depending on how many points you buy.

I guess my question to the DVC veterans would be is this one of their better deals, or something they use all the time? Is there ever a really great add on deal each year worth holding out for?

If you're going to buy Poly then the savings resale may not be that much esp if you're looking at smaller point packages. You do have the potential for a fixed week retail.

I definitely agree that if we buy Poly again, it would be best straight from Disney. We are open to other properties for our home base resort. We want the balance of best value, but also that home resort booking window, as we typically do plan pretty far in advance.

I caution you to slow down and wait for the honeymoon period period to be over. Start staying at any resorts that you don't dislike. After staying at those resorts and researching availability, location, amenities, and feel, you will have a good idea which to consider for an add-on purchase.

If you did not vacation at Disney every year prior then this x 1,000. If you're a WDW regular already... at least consider other resorts and split stays.
