FYI-- Laura, the bottom row of the swag lights is completely out and several bulbs scattered thru the rest are out. They still look pretty though

Oh shoot. I plugged them in, I guess I didnt look closely enough. I will buy some new sets during the after Christmas sales for next year. Thanks for letting me know.

How funny! I didn't think about that! We kinda stuck with the beach theme. We thought that the blue star thingy looked like a star/sea anemone, so we went with it I really hope you guys enjoy it.

OH, not an issue for us! I love the Beach Club and would actually be staying there, but waitlist never came through. But AKV works for us as well, LOVE it there! The tree is perfect and I can't wait to have it.

did anyone have luck with getting pre paid shipping label using Fedex. when i shipped BCV Tree #1 i was told, No unless i have an account on line, then i can print one out.

SSR Tree # 2 was packed and returned to Bell Service on Sunday Nov. 30th
all ready for STAYC18 to pick up tomorrow Dec.3

I have to pass on that SSR Bell Service is very supportive of this swap.
when I returned the "Big Box" the respose was Wow Who gets it next???

I have an account on line with Fed Ex, but you are only allowed to print out a return label 10 days ahead of time. However, they were very helpful and talked me through the procedure of doing a Will Call on line. I will go on-line up to 10 days ahead of when the last person will be leaving and fill in all my ship home information and select the will call box. That means that Fed Ex will take the label with them to the resort, find the box, attach the label and ship it back to me.

And for all those that have been following the fact that nobody at AKV could find my tree, they have FINALLY located it and are bringing it up to the room.

Hello! SSR Tree #1 was shipped Sat. 11/8. I also had to send 2 boxes. It was $18.90 from Fed-Ex. The workers were great at trying to get the cost down for us.

My family is enjoying the tree now. Thanks again for sharing!

Anyone coming down soon, pack jackets and pants as it has been cool and breezy so far.

We had a great time and my daughter really enjoyed decorating the balcony.My family made me drive all the way around epcot resorts blvd just so they could look at our balcony all lit up from the street
You really do need to see the bell services though (no one else will know what you are talking about ) just tell them your getting a Christmas tree and it's number. We even had one bell service guy that said the tree wasn't there. I was just persistent and got someone else to help and we went in and found it with no problem.
We were asked a bunch of question about the tree pass and lights by the staff and guests alike, everyone thought it was one of the best ideas they had ever heard of we even had a group of the maids come in to look .

This thread is great!!! The trees are very nice. You can tell that a lot of love and thoughness went into each one. It's a shame that I didn't see this thread sooner! We leave tomorrow and are staying at VWL for 2 nights.

I will definately add this to my notes for our 09' christmas stay!

I am Truly Speechless every year, but more this year, Its my Honor and the joy that i feel that I can Share the Magic with others with the support of my Dis Dvc friend JimElf and The Families that Donated the Trees. I couldnt have done it without them.

Over the years when i first bought into DVC, we were told that we are all family, friends and neighbors that are a part of DVC. I thought this would be a great way to celebrate the Holidays with my DVC families, friends and neighbors and add more the DVC Magic when we are "Welcome Home" to our "Home".

I stopped taking names nov. 2 because our wonder dvc families that were donating the trees were busy getting them ready and shipped to our DVC resorts for the first arrival families on nov. 11th. I know its sad but all things have to come to a end, for this year. JimElf and I will be taking names again July 1st, 2009 for our
"7th year Christams Tree, Sharing a Little DVC Holiday Magic with Dvc Families". (not a tree swap, this is a little more Magical then a swap).

Well, here's he lastest on my tree's "road trip". It was shipping on 11/19 ORLANDO,

I called the resort to give them a heads up. I was told the front desk normally receives the packages. They had NEVER heard of a tree swap. I'm wondering if the package was not accepted because the guest had not checked in? The package was originally in Orlando on the 24th.

Liferbabe, that's a cute tree! I love the ornaments. The giraffes look a bit like the magnets you get when you stay there. I don't know if they still give them out, but we got a cute giraffe when we stayed last year.

TLSnell1981 I dont understand why the resort would refuse the box. I think UPS is fibbing and dont want to be responable for the mis delivery. did you tell UPS you needed a signature for delivery?

My shipping guy has been on the phone to UPS in Orlando. They have PROMISED it would be delivered today ....regardless. It's still not showing it's been delivered. UPS has intercepted the package THREE times since Friday.
They aren't charging for the shipping to Orlando....wow....awfully big of them. I finally asked if I needed FEDEX to come pick it up.
