Why small? If my latest passes ROFR (Im sure it will) I will be 32 points shy of 1000, that means I definitely need to buy a small contract right?

Just to get to 1000. I do need more WDW points though I only have 100 there but in overall point total awe dont need much more. Why small?
Next summer, I have 2 rooms at BCV for a week followed by 8 nights in a GV at CCV / SSR for 10 of us. Quite easy to spend points if you try hard enough!Serious question for everyone with 1000+ points. What do you do with them all? Do you vacation that much, love grand villas, or rent out the excess points to fund the others? Something else? We only have 150pts right now but could see us using as much as 600.
Ha. Yeah I imagine the more points you have the more ways you can find to use them!Next summer, I have 2 rooms at BCV for a week followed by 8 nights in a GV at CCV / SSR for 10 of us. Quite easy to spend points if you try hard enough!
I use them all. I go quite frequently. Have a large family so almost always get 2 bedroom villas. I love to bring people that may no otherwise go. It can go quick. I haven’t done big splurges yet like bungalows or cabins but I see that in the near future as well. Staying in a grand villa for the first time next summer.Serious question for everyone with 1000+ points. What do you do with them all? Do you vacation that much, love grand villas, or rent out the excess points to fund the others? Something else? We only have 150pts right now but could see us using as much as 600.

I think that is the tricky part, not allowing yourself to buy more than you need.As someone above posted, you will find a way to use them.
We usually travel 2-3 times per year staying 7-9 nights per trip in either a 1 BR or a 2 BR. Our usual pattern is WDW in early May (VGF or poly bungalow), WDW in late October (usually BCV), and AUL or VGC in January or February. If we travel to WDW in the winter, we pick a CCV cabin. 1 of those 3 trips is with my MIL - so we get the 2 BR and 2 of the 3 are generally just spouse and I so we get a 1 BR. At AUL we get OV (again 1 or 2 BR). We did recently (summer 2024) buy 400 BLT points resale with the intent of using those to get 8 nights in a poly bungalow every 1 to 2 years and/or an oceanfront GV at AUL and/or a GV at BLT.
I almost talked myself into 200 more VGC points a few weeks ago but restrained myself. It seems like the more DVC points you get, the more you need.
I go every spring staying at an Epcot resort for 4-5 nights then moving on to VGF for 4-5 nights, fall is the same as except alternate between BLT and the new PIT as my MK resort and then again in Dec with WL/BRV as my MK resort…in a 1BR. I also go for long weekends at HH with family 2x a year staying in a 2 BR or GV…and usually the day before and after a WDW in a 1BR at HH since it’s kind of a half way point for me. Then every couple of years I get extra rooms (1 or 2 BR) for various nieces and nephews and their families to stay.Serious question for everyone with 1000+ points. What do you do with them all? Do you vacation that much, love grand villas, or rent out the excess points to fund the others? Something else? We only have 150pts right now but could see us using as much as 600.

We spent the month of December at Old Key West pre-pandemic. It was great! No pressure to do anything. Plenty of time for multiple trips to parks. The only thing I would do differently is not to go to Magic Kingdom on Christmas Day. Not all that magical. Way too many people to even breathe. OKW was fantastic. 2 bedroom villa has a ton of room and it was really easy on the points.Really enjoy hearing how everyone uses their points. My dream would be to have enough points for my wife and I to spend a month at DW every winter at retirement. Sounds like I need to start shopping for more points!![]()
I think that we've finally hit the point where annual dues outweigh adding more points.
Expensive Obsession!I plan to stop with this next 200 point Poly contract. At 3,026 points, I think I will have every combination of grand villas, cabins, bungalows and TPV rooms I can conceive each year. No question the dues are serious, but so is my obsession with visiting WDW every month and booking DCL boats!
32pts? Can’t be too many of those out there. Good luck in ROFR!Well, I have a 32 pt BWV in ROFR and if it clears, I will be joining the club at 1015 points. I own at AKL, BLT, BRV, BWV, OKW, PVB and RIV.
