DVC “Confessions”

My husband doesn’t know we have two contracts after 5 years. He just thinks I am really good at finding deals and we get “Pixie-dusted” with upgrades. He tells his friends and our family about the amazing rooms we find and how we must have received an upgrade. His friends think he is crazy when they tell him how much they have been quoted for their trip and he tells them they just need to keep looking like his wife does…

Omg this is hilarious

It's available on Spotify and Apple Music (maybe Amazon too, but I don't subscribe to that).

Search for:

Where We Belong (Welcome Home) - M. Zarlenga and C. Johnson

It's actually a catchy song...

(I probably just made them a few bucks in Royalties :-))
Right cuz u know I'm gunna jam this out with a tear in my eye, waiting for my contract to pass ROFR loll I just started playing it and my wife gave a huge eyeroll she thinks I'm brainwashed 🤣🤣

Your wife is right. Don’t worry, my kid and I spent part of the afternoon watching YouTube tours of DVC locations to plan future trips. We are also brainwashed.

I just watched vero beach yesterday! I think we're going to check it out in September, rent a car at the airport and drive down for a few days after Orlando. She thinks it will be her favorite resort. We are opposites in that wa, I'm the type that likes to do as much as I can possibly pack in one day and she's the relaxation type on vacation, funny how these types of people always marry each other 🤣🤣

Vero Beach is my favorite DVC resort. The cast members are phenomenal and they actually get to know you while you are there. There is a lot to do within the resort but there are other options just a few miles away.

What are some of your favorite things to do? I'm hoping we can spot some sea turtles! And I saw they have a lot of my favorite disney snacks including the Mickey dome cake which is my wifes favorite!

My family includes my husband, son (16), and daughter (15). My kids have done all the activities the Community Hall has to offer including pottery and archery. You can go beach fishing or get a charter out of Vero Beach or Sebastian. If you like State Parks, Sebastian Inlet Park is great. For $8, you can swim along side manatees and dolphins in the cove on the West side of the bridge. Publix and other local restaurants are just a few minutes away. If you just want to stay at the resort, I recommend to stay in the Inn in an ocean view room. The restaurant is very good. The quick service and bar is great. The pool is wonderful and my favorite thing to do is to walk under the road in the pedestrian tunnel to the Disney music. And I almost forgot! My daughter and I actually were able to participate in a sea turtle rescue a few years ago.

Sounds lovely, I did hear about the state park, but had no idea you could swim along manatees and dolphins, we would love that and what a great price, anywhere else would charge $200 plus for swimming with dolphins! Yes I was thinking the inn ocean view room sounded like the best option. How's the water is it warm and clear? Anything with Disney music is better 😌

To be clear it is a State Park so it is just by chance the manatees and dolphins are there. It is not an excursion just nature, but 9/10 times we are able to swim with them. The water is around 75-80 when we visited this past November. It is pretty clear similar to Daytona or Cocoa Beach.

I gifted my Aunt and Uncle a 3-night stay at Vero (they live nearby) and they absolutely loved it. Could not stop raving!

I can't wait!!

I'm looking forward to spending the day at AK in May. It's been a very long time since I've been there, and I am struggling to remember if there's a lot of benches to rest while walking the Maharajah Jungle Trek, and the Gorilla Trails. I was, to be sure much younger and in better shape the last time and never noticed, lol. Lots of resting moments available? I sure hope so! Thanks for the info!
