Dumb Question....help?

Ok, so I know that free dining usually is in September. My question is, can you stay at any resort you want or do you have to stay at a value resort to get it??? I know its kinda dumb, but If I dont have to pay for the dining plan....I may can upgrade from a value to a moderate!!!!! Thanks...

No...you can stay at any Disney resort space permitting. I booked the FD bounceback offer from our trip in August and we are staying at SSR in 2 bedroom deluxe villa this coming August

Disney would probably rather you upgrade since they get more money for it. It wouldn't make sense for them to only offer free dining to the value resort guests.

MNSSHP is on select nights in both September and October.

we were there in September 2008...first week of September - we checked in the Sunday of Labor Day weekend for free dining. The first MNSSHP this year was actually on Friday of that first week - 9/5/2008. So if they repeat the pattern, you'll definitely get a chance to go during Free Dining. They actually had a lot of the Halloween/Fall decorations going up in the MK on Labor Day weekend.
