Dumb question-From BWV to EPCOT?

Okay okay, this is going to sound stupid but what is the easiest way to get from the Boardwalk Villas to EPCOT? We will be "going home" in May and have never stayed at the BWV without a car so we will be relying on Disney buses. From the Villas side of the resort, do we simply walk or take a bus? Which is faster? If we walk, where is the walkway to EPCOT? Near the new BCV? I am clueless! Much thanks.

Yes, just head for BCV and then take a right and you'll be at International Gateway. It should take you less than 10 minutes!

It is just TOO convenient!

It's about a 5 minute walk from the front of BWV to Epcot's International Gateway Entrance. You walk along the Boardwalk, cross a small bridge and there's a sidewalk to the entrance. You can also take a boat. There is no bus from BWV to Epcot. Similarly, you can walk to MGM, it's more like a 15 minute walk along the canal or you can take the boat. Again, no bus. There is bus service to elsewhere. Have a great time - you'll love BWV!

It doesn't sound stupid. You have 2 really easy options - walk or take the boat. It's faster just to walk and it is an enjoyable one. That is one of the beauties of staying at the Boardwalk. Have fun!

P.S. The walkway is right near the BCV - you are right.

It's certainly not a dumb question!

Here, if you can look past all the logos, is an overhead shot showing exactly how far it is from the water side of Boardwalk(the 'X') to the International gateway(marked- right by England in Epcot).

Head towards the BCV via the ESPN side of the Boardwalk...otherwise it's alot longer walk.

Walking to Epcot is the fastest way. I was wondering if you could check something out for me? I have a theory that there is some sort of supernatural force that pulls people into the ESPN club, especially men. Could you make some observations and report back to us?

Thank you everyone! It does seem like walking will work best. I never even KNEW that there was no bus service to EPCOT. What a ditz 'eh? Mark RG, that map was VERY helpful!! And MikeBW, LOL!!! I am thinking you are right about that magnetic force coming from the ESPN club. I don't think I need to test this theory, as my DH has already proven it several times over. LOL.

That's 633.6 yards, or roughly 6-1/3 football fields.

If you stroll along at 2 mph, then it will take you 10 minutes, 48 seconds to get there.

If your walking pace is 2.5 mph, then it will take you 8 minutes and 38 seconds to walk it.

If you walk fast at 3 mph, then it's only a 7 minutes, 12 second walk.

If you walk very fast (or jog slow) at 3.5 mph, it's 6 minutes, 10 seconds.

If you can run a 4-minute mile, then you can easily do it in a fast 1 minute, 26 seconds.

Or, if you prefer, you can take the boat and probably get there in an average of 20 minutes. (including wait time and boat time)

Every time I read one of your posts, I am tempted to ask (so now I will) ... Do you work for Batesville (Hillenbrand)? Just curious

Yes, I did. I retired from (Hillenbrand) Batesville Casket Co. in January, 2000.
