Dumb Question... Carrying Halloween Candy on board?

Now this is the dumbest question ever, but we have an exchange student who will be going home to France on Friday... Course he went out trick or treating last night (had a great time!) & now has lots of candy... I know how dumb this sounds, but is he allowed to bring the candy on board with him? He's flying Virgin I believe....?

In short, yes. Unless he has candy that the TSA screener likes, then it may be confiscated!
