Dumb question about JellyRolls

I went there on my last trip and had a blast. I'd like to go again on this trip.

My question is do you have to bring your own paper and pen to request songs or are they provided for you? We ended up finding a seat, but it wasn't at a table. I didn't see paper anywhere but people were throwing requests up there right and left.

I know my DFiance will just have to request a Bruce Springsteen song. :D

We were using napkins, and you need to make sure to bring your own pen, or sit next to people who do . We forgot, and then I found my DF writing a song request on a napkin with her lipstick. It's pretty funny the the goofy little things you remember.

On our last trip there, last month, our waitress gave us paper and pens(maybe pencils?) to make requests.

Every time we have been there our waitress has always given is tons of napkins and pens. :)

Isn't Jellyrolls the best? DH and I love that place and always go every time we are over at Disney.

Jellyrolls is a fantastic dueling piano bar located at the Boardwalk. Each night there are two different people there and they play the piano together and sing songs, anything and everything that the audience requests. It's so much fun! They have a full bar and free popcorn, but no food. Here's a website about it: http://www.angelfire.com/ga/ChipDotCom/summer2k2/jellyrolls.html

You should definitely check it out the next time you are at WDW, it's a great place. :)

I have a silly question~What is the general age of the crowd at Jelly Rolls? DH and I are 41, will we feel out of place?

Treehugger, OMG, no you won't feel out of place at all! DH and I are in our mid-twenties and we are always some of the youngest people there. My parents (in their 50s) have been before and love it.:jester: In fact, when we go over in November the four of us are going to go together.

Hi there,
This place sounds like a great night out. Does anyone know off hand if they take reservations? Thanks.

We have been by this place dozens of times but never knew what was going on there. What time do things really get started there? We are sort of early bird people...if we went in around 7 or 8 is anything even happening or would we be the only ones there?

soupy - they don't take reservations, but as long as you get there between 8 and 9 you'll have no problem getting a table.

Las - if get you there around 8 that is usually when the players are just getting started. Personally, I think it's fun to get there early because the players really interact with the audience then, since it isn't too crowded. The crowd starts to really pick up around 10pm or so.

:sunny:

We're early birds too, and arrived there at 8 pm on our last trip. It was our first time at Jellyrolls and we were the first couple there! There were two teams of piano players, and the first group asked us a lot of questions and kept referring to us during the evening as the "first couple from CT" We enjoyed it a lot. The waiter brought us tons of napkins and a pen for requests. The night we were there a wedding party came in and ended up on stage doing the funcky chicken. We didn't last too late and I have a feeling that it would have been even more fun as the night progressed. That's the bad thing about being early birds!

I was impressed with the skills of each team--they really could play almost everything.
