Dumb Photopass/MM Question

I wasn't sure which forum to post this question in, but figured I'd post it here. Anyway, got back from our DW trip on the 25th and now are trying to design our Christmas card, using pictures we took and maybe the Photopass/MM ones. My question is, what is the point of us uploading our pictures to the photopass (My Disney Experience) site if all the MM entitles us to is a digital download of pictures taken by Disney? Do they no longer put the pictures on a CD/DVD anymore?

You can upload them to Photopass to edit them, add borders, etc. I think that you can still buy a CD/DVD if you want to (but it's not part of MM).
