Duggar surprise?

do they worry because her eggs are ancient that a chromosomal disorder is a possibility like Down Syndrome?

now, wouldnt that turn their bubble upside down?

I doubt it. Nor did I when I was 40. If that was His choice, so be it. I would still accept that child lovingly. There are many people who believe you accept all children from God lovingly and do not do anything to prevent conception. I just don't feel I have a right to judge them or anyone for that matter. They do not appear to be mooching off the system. Obviously, I only see what is on t.v. but they are all clean and well spoken. They all seem like productive members of society. I guess I don't think there is a limit on the number of children you have as long as you are able to care for them. Honestly, I would have more of an "issue" with someone that chose to have 1 baby and did not have the means to care for them.

My first delivery was by C-section and it was my easiest (altho, certainly not "easy"). The next two were VBACs, but my kids were 10 lbs 1 oz (C-section), 10 lbs 5 oz, and 11 lbs 5 oz. MAYBE that was why?

I guess the "easy" part of a planned C-section is no labor? :confused3

I don't know why Michelle's babies don't just fall out at this point.

I just hope that there's nothing wrong with her pregnancy, delivery, and baby.

With that said, I think it's not very responsible of her to have another after she almost died the last time. Why isn't 19 enough? What is missing in her life that she has to fill with all these kids? I think it's time to get a hobby that doesn't include sex.

OMG!!!!!!!! I really thought it was going to be an engagement announcement! Holy crap I can't believe it! I don't care how well-behaved and decent and Godly that family is, Michelle Dugger is MENTALLY ILL!!!! I'm not being a smart###, I firmly believe she is off in the head!!! She's obsessed with having as many children as she can, and I don't for one minute believe it's because of Quiverfull, it's a mental disorder. Her older children need to sit her down and have an intervention. This is so wrong. She's a very selfish ill woman.

I remember their first special...I think it was 14 Kids and Counting. Her doctor was insisting that she stop back then. He said she had already had too many c-sections. She just switched doctors.

These people are so disgusting on many, many levels.

Wow, I'm seriously shocked. I thought the big announcement would be an engagement too. Though can someone please explain to me why everytime Michelle gets pregnant, they need to announce it on TV? Weird.

Anyhow, I don't have anything against the Duggars even though they may make some choices I wouldn't. But for crying out loud, Michelle almost died last time and Josie was seriously ill. It's seems like they are tempting fate to get pregnant again. Great, Michelle is in better health but that doesn't predict whether or not you'll get preeclampsia. I still remember seeing their family crying when they saw Josie for the first time because she was so little and sick.

And I'm sorry but that Today show clip was hilarious! Ann Curry kept blurting out what she really thought! Jimbob was joking away that he doesn't know how this happened, har har har, or that they didn't like uneven numbers, har har har. Hello man, your wife may very well die due to being pregnant again or your next child may. It would be devastating so I just can't imagine risking it.

I myself have three beautiful, healthy girls but after my last pregnancy, I developed heart and thyroid disorders. No way would I risk leaving my girls motherless just because "I" wanted another baby.

This just makes me sick. I watched the video. She's just freaking crazy. So is he. The Today Show needs to stop having them on. TLC needs to cancel their series. She reminds me of a friend I have who's husband controls nearly every move she makes-same personality, wide eyes, sweet practiced voice. At some point, Children's Services needs to start stopping by for suprise visits. I feel so sorry for those children.

Yeah, I remember how much "fun" my c-section was..

Im sorry but she just doesn't know the difference between mothering and just giving birth. No one can convince me that these 19-20 kids have had a real mother. There is no way you can take care of this tribe and give these kids the attention they need

Too bad they didn't stick to 2 or 3. Then Michelle could have gotten a job and been out of the house for up to 10 hours a day. Subtract time for sleep, housework, cooking, laundry, etc., and she would have had a couple of hours to lavish on the children.

You know, back in the day there were actually posters who defended the Duggar lifestyle. Where did they all go?

these people are bat crap crazy:dance3:, selfish, and irresponsible!:sad2:

the attention given them disgusting.

Just want to comment on the bolded. Some people believe God is the one that decides. Not debating religion here, just pointing out the other side. I, myself have two wonderful children. Is it in my plans to have another one? No. Am I trying to "prevent" that. Yes. But, who am I to tell someone else they should stop having children?

ita!

If you havent read about the movement, quiverfull, it explains it all. Her husband has no reguard for his wife at all. None of us see what goes on behind closed doors. If it came down to it, and all these kids were to talk to someone about the issues I bet most of them are not happy. They have to put on smiling faces for a camera. It would not also surprise me if the show pays more everytime Michele has another one. I think the show covers alot of their stuff.

I do not watch the show. Nor do I agree with their lifestyle. I hope for everyones sake this baby and Michele are ok.

I know that's what Jimbob and Michelle believe, due to the fact she got pregnant and miscarried while on birth control early on in their marriage. I think they have some guilt over that, therefore they will not prevent any pregnancy and will accept whatever God gives them.

Honestly, if Michelle hadn't been so near death or poor little Josie so ill, I wouldn't care if they have more babies. But IMO, it seems dangerous for BOTH Michelle and this unborn child. From my own experience, I wouldn't risk it but that's just my opinion. Obviously Jimbob and Michelle could care less what anyone thinks about them hence the big announcement on TV that they are indeed expecting another child.

For the record, I hope both Michelle and this new baby sail through perfectly fine.

I love the Duggar family and watching their show. And really, I have never seen or heard anything from the children that is out of the ordinary - but I suppose they could edit that out of the TV show. ;)

At some point, the Duggar couple should realize that God did not intend for them to keep having children but to care for the ones that they do have. Perhaps they need counseling on natural birth control methods if they don't want to interfere by using condoms, etc. So what is the record for live births in the Guinness book? Maybe they are trying to break that record or something. I wonder what their children think of the news? If it was me, I would be crying if I was one of the older ones because they are the ones that take care of the younger ones. :sad2:

Maybe Grandma and Grandpa should adopt their titles and stop trying to be super mom and dad. Okay, now I'm getting mad at the Duggar family and I said I liked them, but I guess you can like someone without agreeing with their choices.

Many women stay at home and raise their kids regardless of how many or how few they have. Full time stay at home moms with one, two, three kids are not unheard of!

On another note, I have a friend with 8 kids (there's one set of twins, ages range from 18 to 2 yo) and she and her husband both work full time jobs. Go figure.
