I am curious where CCV ends up. Obviously it does quite well based on projections as an economic resort as a whole but is there any reason it's dues won't end up similar to BRV long term? Same transportation expenses and etc.i am curious how it's larger dependence on buses will affect it compared to monorail resorts or if the aging infrastructure of the monorail ends up more expensive long term

I mean, unless I’m wrong, BRV average increase per year is 3.8%. BLT is at 5.0%. Now BRV has many more data point being an older resort, but idk how else you’d compare.

VGF dues were actually lower than BLT for years before BPK was announced and built. BLT overtook VGF in 2019.

I'm guessing the glorified cash rooms actually have a lot less to replace than deluxe studios and villa accommodations. Hoping VGF stays low

We will see. There is gotta be more square footage to cover at VGF, and the cost per square foot is gotta be higher at VGF. But again, what do I know? Nothing.

To some extent the higher point charts help keep the dues lower.

Take BWV and VGF. Boardwalk has a lower average point cost for every room size than Grand Flo, while on a per night basis the VGF rooms cost more to maintain operations and upkeep than BWV, but… those higher costs are divided by a higher average point cost. That helped VGF dues stay lower than BWV.

I hope the dues stay lower… But that brings up a good point and maybe this should be posted in the “next dvc” thread, but what will become of BRV, tear down and build a tower??

We will see if other resorts get as big of a percentage increase. If they aren't this could be a one off year.

Luckily sub dues went up less than traditional dues. Sub up .62 traditional up .76

There is no "luck" here. This is just math.

The subsidy is 25% discount. So the increase will also always be 25% less.

Regular dues went up by $0.83 (not $0.76). So subsidized dues went up by $0.83 * 75% = $0.62.

It has the same smaller room cost, but the lakeside Cabins and the Grand Villas that BRV doesn't have makes the average room at CCV actually much more expensive and they were able to sell more points because of the Cabins/GVs. So CCV should never get to the level of BRV

At that rate Subsidized won’t be the lowest in no time… negating Sub AUL being the best as SAP+.

It's hard to think of the fact that everything goes up by a percentage... I can no longer tell myself that if both AUL and BLT due go up $1, AULs only goes up $0.75 while BLT is till $1...

I don't know all the history here, but I believe all of CCV (including the cabins) could not be added to BRV because of the required length of time that must be on a timeshare contract in Florida (I think it's 40 years?). That is in contrast to the Poly island tower that could be added to PVB because the original PVB still had more than 40 years left on its contract.

I do think it's an interesting question what happens to BRV in 2042, and one that doesn't receive much attention compared to the other 2042 resorts.

One year of a higher increase isnt a trend, so this could be a one off year of something unpredicted that caused it. The trend for Aulani is on par with all the resorts so I wouldn't say SUB contracts aren't good SAP+ just yet.

The reason that they had to create CCV and not just add it to BRV was due to the number of years left.

So they couldn’t add more invent to BRV to sell.
