My money is on BLT, as a single tower with a small pool and hardly any grounds to take care of, as the lowest dues a decade from now, though I see a possibility that CCV or Poly might end up being winners as well. The amount of upkeep that is endlessly required at GF I think will eventually nudge it higher than the others on this list. I can't remember the last time major work wasn't going on at GF. It's been years. But again, I'm open to other ideas.

Yes they are in line for refurb and I would expect a Hawaii refurb to cost much more than on the mainland. I am okay with increased dues to make the resort better. I am not okay with how it played out at my other resort VGC where the refurb was not done in a fashion in which we paid for.
Are they reducing the dues by $0.50 a point for every shower head donated for the refurb :rotfl2:

At that rate Subsidized won’t be the lowest in no time… negating Sub AUL being the best as SAP+.

Yes I’m sure they will still work, they just aren’t showing due yet, so there is nothing to pay on. Unless I missed it or there is another way to make a payment?
Aulani is due for a hard good refurb (whatever that means anymore) in 2028… that, overall inflation, and higher insurance rates are likely the culprit….

As someone who owns 950 points…. It’s a big increase…. but…. I still love Aulani!

🎶 Oh, look, what's this?
There's Cabins at the Fort, what's more?
Let's build on the Lakeshore?
Inspired!
They're gathering around to see a brand new lazy river?
What's this?

What's this?
Over here's an Island Tower, how queer?
And who would ever think? And why?
They're covering it with tiny little things
They've got tattoos on everything and there's a smile on everyone
So, now correct me if I'm wrong
This looks like fun, this looks like fun
Oh, could it be I got my wish?
What's this?🎶

Yeah if you want Disney in Hawaii Aulani is it. If you want Disney in Florida you can pick and choose based off dues if you want to. Even CA you have a small choice you can make between 2 places. HHI and VB it's hard for me to comment on since Ive never been.

My son just walked in my office and asks me "why are you smiling so much"

Question - can you turn off auto pay and use Target cards to pay off Nov and Dec now, or are you locked into the new system until the end of the year? In previous years, I've used Target cards all year--this is my first year on the new system.
I would hope your dues are now under $1k which is all the GC can hold.
I would call MA and have them apply the rest to your dues.
It is supposed to be due immediately if you turn off the auto payment and you know the DVC site so call MA :)

Ah hell might as well bring it home at this point...

🎶

Oh my, what now?
The spouses are asleep
But look, a new contract underneath
No guides, no members here to scream and scare them or ensnare them
Only little cozy things secure inside their dreamland, ah........
What's this?!

The Fastpass are all missing and Barbados can't be found
And in their place there seems to be Riviera and it's grounds
Instead of screams, I swear, I can hear music in the air
The smell of cakes and pies and a skyliner over theeeeere.

The sights, the sounds
They're everywhere and all around
I've never felt so good before
This empty place inside of me is filling up
I simply cannot get enough
I want it, oh, I want it, oh, I want it for my own
I've got to know, I've got to know
What is this place that I have found?
What is this!?????????
Disney Vacation Club? Mmm

I think BLT will be the winner long term as well, VGF and Poly being a wash but overall still top 5 with dues.

Where else are you going to drink coffee/drink soda out of THIS, right on the pool deck overlooking the beach? You’re still so lucky to own there. Enjoy every bit of it even with the dues bump!

I don't see Aulani as a precedent to other resorts. It's a completely different market.
But when you buy subsidized they become cabin points. 😉

I paid a new contract in full for 2026 online right after it landed in my account a few weeks ago! I guessed at the amount and actually am probably paid a bit into 2027. You should be able to force it through.

:badpc:
Good to know, I’ll have to check into it again. I must have missed it somewhere.

That does make sense, I’m planning BLT and CCV for the long haul, and AKV and BWV for the short term. :-)

My take - VGF and PVB have lower dues right now because of the second wave of direct sales (BPK + PIT). In the long run, the dues will be higher than BLT. But what do I know? Absolutely nothing.
Agreed, those both could see a bigger increase over the long run.

*fingers crossed*
Hoping CCV remains in or near that top 5 as well.

VGF dues were actually lower than BLT for years before BPK was announced and built. BLT overtook VGF in 2019.

I'm guessing the glorified cash rooms actually have a lot less to replace than deluxe studios and villa accommodations. Hoping VGF stays low 🤞

I am curious where CCV ends up. Obviously it does quite well based on projections as an economic resort as a whole but is there any reason it's dues won't end up similar to BRV long term? Same transportation expenses and etc.i am curious how it's larger dependence on buses will affect it compared to monorail resorts or if the aging infrastructure of the monorail ends up more expensive long term
