So, grandma is traveling with us on our next trip. We live in Chicago, but she's owned a condo in Boca Raton for decades.

So she owns property in Florida, pays the taxes, etc, but since her primary residence is in Chicago, she doesn't have a FL drivers license.

Since my name isn't on the property (and neither is the rest of our traveling party's), obviously we aren't eligible for a discount, but is she? How would she go about proving residency if she doesn't have a FL drivers license?

She really needs a Florida non driver id. She can go get one for about $10. She needs to show an electric bill and another utility bill. Other then that Not sure she can get a florida rate.

I believe the PP is correct...but here's some info for you....

You can get a FL Part-Time Resident Driver's License. Go to the FL DMV, show them your IL License and tell them you want a Part-Time FL Driver's License. You will be able to keep your IL License and the FL one is good for use only in FL. We did this last year. We were able to keep our CT Licenses. When they ask you for your FL License, just give them your Grandma's address, they don't check, they just ask. We do have a valid FL address, but they didn't even question us, they just ask you for the address and they type it in the computer!! The only thing you need to do is pass the Eye Exam. Then you can get a FL Resident Season Pass, FL Resident Ticket discounts, FL Resident Room discounts, etc.

Here is a quote from Disneyworld.com in the Florida Ticket area:

*Proof of Florida residency is required -- you must provide any one of the following: Florida driver's license, Florida state-issued ID card (must have Florida address), Florida voter's registration card with corresponding picture ID, a college ID for a Florida college, or a Florida-based military ID.

Leases, utility bills, etc., will not work.
