I am planning on a quick trip to WDW in a couple of weeks. I'm staying offsite and need to get to DTD to switch my old 10 day pass for whatever new thing that they are currently using. I have seen thread about the parking lot construction going on at DTD, but, to be honest, I haven't really been playing close attention to what is going on. If anyone can tell me or show me (Robo) what the current situation is, where the construction is happening and what would be the quickest way to Guest Services once I get to the lot, I would surely appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

We went last month and it was easy to find parking near Cirque and Disney Quest. You can do your ticket changing at Disney Quest.

Cool, thanks. So does that mean that the construction is up at the east end of the lot and not the west? For some reason I thought the parking garage was going to be on the Cirque side of DTD.

All of the lots along the West Side were open. When we left, the incoming traffic was being directed to the adjacent West Side lots...we were in the first parking lot closest to Cirque.

if you're going late afternoon/evening, the lots by Cirque will be over-full, even on a very slow day. They have taken so many parking slots out of commission with the construction...

Can't you just switch your tickets at Guest Services at whatever park you go to first?

Yes, I can, but, I like to have that stuff done when there isn't a crushing crowd waiting to be served. I feel there is less chance of screw ups that way. Besides, I was planning on going to DTD once anyway, so it was a chance to kill two birds with one stone, so to speak.:)

W were there Thanksgiving afternoon/evening (so a very busy time) and they had people directing traffic. We were directed to park in the Casting lot directly across the street from the 1st Marketplace entrance. It worked out great. There is a stoplight for in/out and crossing the street an it was a short walk to the World of Disney Store. There is a Guest Services on that side too because I added a day to our tickets that night. I was worried we would be pressed for time for ADRs due to parking on thanksgiving and we ended up having tons of extra time to shop :)
