In 2012 we went to Disney and got our new son and our foster daughter their first Christmas stockings in DTD (as is tradition, even our dogs and cats have them
). But we were bummed to find out they couldn't be personalized there anymore - it had to be done at DHS. I was so upset, since we had already done DHS and did not have hoppers to go back another park day. OKW front desk staff was great, and arranged for a "runner" to get it done for us. I was beyond thankful.
This year we have two new foster daughters, who obviously need stockings
. But my husband and I will only be in Disney for 3 full days (going April 30), and none of the days include DHS. So I am crossing my fingers that someone who is there now can look into it and see if they finally smartened up and put an embroidery machine back in DTD. I don't want to count on the resort (ASMu being able to arrange a runner, especially since we won't get to DTD til Friday, will be at Epcot Sat, and our plane takes off 11am Sunday.
