My gift basket purchases for upcoming WDW/Cruise are complete!
Thanks to mmouse37's posting on the toy story alarm clock thread, I walked back over to DStore today and got some great deals. The Buzz Light Year rolling carry-on was marked down to $6.49 (from $26)...The Buzz Backpack was $4.99 (from $20)...The Tigger rolling back pack was $$7.49 (from $30). I purchased $229 worth of items for $50 (with tax). The sales clerk told me the rolling bags were not marked down, but I asked her to please scan them anyway. Low and behold, they were marked down 75% off! Some items were marked down beyond 75%. The Toy Story rafts were 49 cents each. Alarm clock is still $10. (And I got an adjustment on yesterday's purchases too.)
Guess what I am doing with the todays's purchases in addition to the baskets that I am making for our trip? --Souveniers to give out when I return home from DW/Cruise!!! (We are planning a family reunion to WDW/Wonder for 2003 so those rolling cases/bags will come in handy.) It may sound crazy, but I'm from a VERY Large family and advance purchases, especially on sale take the edge off for me. (Why buy the same thing in Florida and drag it home in the luggage, when it is sitting just a two minute walk from my office at the dstore?) My mom taught me this Disney souvenier survival secret years ago. -- We could never figure out how she fit all those gifts in her luggage that she would bring home to her 30 kids/grandkids!
After this Dsale, I'm ready to sail!
