I bought my DH a DSI for Christmas. Looking for some suggestions on some good games that he would like. Trying to get them for the best deal possible

Lego anything. Lego Indiana Jones is a good one and is usually around $20 at Target. All of the "grown-ups" in our family love that game.

Other good Lego ones are
Lego Batman
Lego Star Wars

Hope this helps.

Does he like puzzles? Professor Layton's Curious Village and then the Diabolical box are great! I couldn't put them down!

If you can find Tetris, it's a lot of fun but it's only available used.

Also Mario Kart and Mario Party are fun, my DH enjoys those. :goodvibes

My games are (but I am female) :

Touchmaster
Cake Mania (1, 2, 3)
Slingo
Pogo Island

Dh plays Pogo Island and Slingo

I have Puzzle Quest, Challenge of the Warlords. I like that it actually took me months to complete it.

Having a DS has made me much more patient anywhere I have to wait. I used to be self-conscious about playing it in public, but not any more. :lmao:

He loves puzzles, I'm def going to ck this out.

Thanks for everyones ideas. Looks like I have a good lists of games he is going to enyjoy.

Try Zelda and the Professor Layton games.
My DH liked both of those as well as brain age and Final Fantasy.

I second Professor Layton's, I like the card games like poker and solliatre. I keep one in my car and when I am waiting on someone or at doctors office I play it. It really came in handy when DMIL was in hospital!

Since this is the Dis boards what about Kingdom Hearts? I have played all of them and currently finishing up the last one for the DS. I love these games.

My husband is addicted to the Brain Age game. He plays it daily - hoping it will keep his brain more healthy :)

I have the following:
Brain Age
Brain Age2
Flash Focus
Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader

And I'd like the Prof. Layton Diabolical Box game

Mario Kart. My dh loves to play my kids on it as well as losing when he plays online against others.

We like Super Mario Bros too (we are old school so like the classics). I was playing Dr. Mario the other night on my son's new DSi that Santa is bringing him. Ahhh...that brought back some fun memories.

I think my dh would like Zelda too since he loves the original NES game.

I'm female, but I love Clubhouse Games. It has all of the normal card games (Poker, Solitaire, Hearts), plus Backgammon, Darts, and Maj Jong. I also like Touchmaster. It has Tripeaks, Gemslide, etc., that are good too. I also like Brain Age, Diner Dash, Cooking Mama and Cake Mania.

The brain games are great! The professor laton games are AWESOME!! My DH also loves the poker type games and Madden Football!!

Where can you get Dr Mario for the DS?????? I used to LOVE this game!!

As a "DH" myself, I second the Lego games, especially Batman or Star Wars. Mario Kart is also great, one cartridge allows for several folks to play via the built in DS wireless.

DW is a puzzle fiend and enjoys games like Brain Age or Professor Layton titles. And if you're old enough to remember the arcade days, there are quite a few portable versions of games like Pac Man or Dig Dug.

Finally, although I love Madden on the big screen, I'd shy away from the miniaturized version. Just not as satisfying as its big screen brothers !

Love Prof. Layton. I am dying to try Diabolical Box but I am waiting for the price to go down. ( I am so cheap;))

The Mystery Case File games are also very good.:thumbsup2
