DS & DIL pulled a good one (kind of long) Update

They were supposed to go camping today, tomorrow and home on Sunday. Weather in Chicago area does not want to co-operate with camping.

DH and I helped them out to go to an indoor water park resort in the Wisc. Dells. They decided to surprise the kids. To keep them from seeing "Wisc. Dells" signs on the highway, DS would ask questions, "did you bring blankets", "pillows" "the cooking utensils, etc.". Every time he asked DGS and DGD would look at each other like "OMG, we didn't"

Stopped at a gas station and Apolonia asked to buy Twizzler licorice. DS asked her for some. Thinking they had absolutely nothing for camping she told DS (very seriously), no, you can't have any. This is for our breakfast tomorrow morning. This is just like Survivor, we have to do with what we have. LOL DS almost caved in at this point but DIL wouldn't let him. Needless to say, when they got to the resort the kids were beside themselves. DS said they didn't stop talking and jumping around for about 2 hours.

Now that they are at the resort, she has decided to share her Twizzlers since they can eat breakfast in the resuaurant! LOL

Hope they're having an awesome time! The Dells is a fun place. The look on their face must have been priceless!
