I have NO CLUE what I'm supposed to do to make him look like he is 100. How many 100 yr old people do YOU know? I don't have a cane, old glasses, wigs, or worn out looking clothes.

Please, tell me someone has an idea!!!

Are they supposed to wear turn of the century style clothing? Or are they actually supposed to BE 100 years old?

I think they are supposed to BE 100 yrs old now.

If he has dark colored hair, you can put baby powder in his hair to give it a grey/whitish color to look older. Go to wal-mart and get some cheapy reading glasses and pop the lenses out so they don't hurt his eyes (or they may have some without magnifacation) and if you live near a wooded area go out and look around for a big stick/branch to use for a cane. If you have extra money, go to the good will store or something and see what you can find there.

Ok, boy or girl.. here are a few ideas...

I had to do this for acting class, it was a improv class, and improv lesson for stage makeup.. (sort of like how would you make one look old quick)

We would put baby powder in the hair.. yes there are fumes or puffy clouds, so be careful.. some just shook it in the hair, and some put it on a brush and brushed it on with semi wet hair

ok, you can put age lines near eyelids with eyeliner, and cheeks/chin.

You can put hair up in a bun, or just older clothes... no cane, use a broom handle, or a big stick (call it a whittling stick or a walking stick)

Maybe some old eyeglasses if you have some old perscriptions/frames floating around the house.. you can just pop out the lenses.

NO older clothes.. if he has dress pants he can call them trousers or dungarees... and a button down plaid shirt buttoned all the way to the top, with black socks, and loafers...

a pair of pants which are several sizes too big (which we balled up and threw on the floor so they will look wrinkled), an ugly plaid shirt with a tie that doesn't match (which we will not tie properly) and I have cornstarch which we will practice with before his shower tonight to see if it will stick. I'd love to find or borrow a cane but on such short notice I don't know if that will happen. Tonight I'll try to get to a store and find some cheap, big plastic looking reading glasses!

While it may not be required that he dress in turn-of-the-century clothing, you might have a few things that will help with the "illusion". After doing the baby powder in the hair, eye liner "wrinkles" near the eyes & glasses frames . . . .

If you have access to a "band collar" shirt, (do you know what I mean? . . . no fold-over collar, reminds me of a priests shirt or Nehru jacket) have him wear that and tie a piece of black ribbon around the neck in a bow. Take a piece of black elastic & sew a "garter" for his sleeve. It shouldn't be too tight & it sits above the elbow on one or both arms. Suspenders may help also. If he has dress shoes he could wear instead of sneakers, that would help also.

DS dressed up like this for a speech meet. He didn't do the baby powder - he got one of those things you put over your hair to make you look bald. To add to it, he also practiced "shuffling" instead of walking & hunching over. It wasn't PC, but since he gave a humorous monologue as "Grandpa Joe" it worked for him.

DH used to work for a local grocery store that had "old fashioned days" every year. He went to a used clothing store & picked up a couple vests to wear with the same items mentioned above.

Good luck with whatever you do!

How about suspenders? Powder in the hair....dress slacks instead of jeans....button down shirt instead of t-shirt....loafers instead of sneakers....plastic glasses....cane....how about a sports jacket....ummm, I don't know but I bet the judging won't be very critical and whatever he does will be fine!

I'm guessing tomorrow is the 100th day of school? Last year DS had to bring "100 of something" to school. This year, no festivities that I am aware of.
