Drying your bathing suits

We usually bring 2 bathing suits per person. So we always seem to have one set dry.

After rinsing them, we lay them on pool towels and roll them out. That usually dries them well. Then we hang them in the shower in the bathroom. If it's not dry by the time we want to use them, we just use the second one. We were on the Aug 25th Fantasy and we found this worked for us. Also, if we do a load of laundry, we just include them.

We attached the hangers with clips to the back of the chairs on the verandah using a zip tie, then clipped the bathing suits onto the hangers aafter rolling them in towels and walking on them.

Bathing suits dried in no time!

I'll have to look into this a bit more though - I know DCL says nothing left on the verandahs during fireworks, but hadn't heard not at all? :confused3

In the Navigator page 4 under IMPORTANT INFORMATION/Verandah Safety:
"Please do not leave any combustible materials on your balcony when not present in your stateroom for safety reasons"

We did bring multiple suits per person and have dried them out on verandahs, draped over indoor jacuzzi, on the short clothesline, over dining room chairs, etc.

I like the idea of using the hangers ON the clothesline to make more use of the space and rolling them in towel to get a lot of the moisture out of them.

I still think the water extractors would be very useful, especially in the suites and perhaps in the laundry rooms. They do a great job in only 10 seconds.

I received feedback from DCL that they like my idea of the swimsuit water extractors and its being passed on to higher ups ... FWIW

While the water extractor is a good enough idea, I can only see DCL as adding them to the suites...too expensive otherwise. If they had them in the laundry rooms, that would be just one more thing for people to fight over, or spend good vacation time waiting for.

Good old baggie ties....I buy a roll so I can cut them longer....looped on a chair on the balcony work great. And SO much cheaper & easy to pack.

I agree that they'd never be put in every stateroom and I can't see them being put in the laundry rooms for sanitary reasons.

The washing machines get washed with every load washed... folks would be throwing unwashed bathing suits in the extractors.

In the suites, they could be sanitized between guests.

I found that if you string the bathing suits on the line rather than hanging them over the line gives you WAY more room. Just another idea.

I do that....it also makes sure that they don't get knocked to the floor, and they dry faster because they aren't doubled over.
