Does anyone know an updated opening timeline for the Drury Inn that will be near Disney Springs?

Does anyone know an updated opening timeline for the Drury Inn that will be near Disney Springs?

A while back, a news release from Visit Orlando said spring of 2021. The last day of spring is June 30.

Of course, it could be delayed by many factors, from a shortage of materials to labor.

Perhaps someone else has some inside info.

I would assume at this point they will try to target the 40th anniversary for opening.

I have heard a lot about Drury Inn and what I learned about them is that Drury Inn is a really wonderful hotel chain and they are supposed to be really nice and very awesome and that they have hotels in Georgia and Arizona too but they haven't expanded to California yet. From what I know about Drury Inns is that the rooms are really nice and they are supposed to have the most comfortable beds of any hotel and good pillows that are extremely soft as well. Drury Inns also offer a happy hour type of thing called a Kickback where you can get snacks like nachos popcorn soups and salads and sodas every day as well as a good breakfast every morning. And also rarely you have problems with Drury Inns because the staff really do care about your needs. So if are planning your Disney World trip and this hotel might be open don't be afraid to give Drury Inn a try because you'll love it

I stayed at the Drury Inn near Universal last month. The staff was really nice and we got our room around 11am.

The breakfast was good and the happy hour food was also good, especially if you have some tired kids with you. You get a card with 3 stamps and the bartender punches them when you get your drink. (soda is unlimited) They are weak so a lot of people were getting doubles. They don't pour the liquor, it comes out of a dispenser where they push a button for a measured dose

The rooms were fine but a little dated and it was noisy because they are right on a highway.

I would definitely stay in the new one that is near WDW once they open.

I concur with everything said about this hotel chain. We will go out of our way to stay there when we travel if one is nearby. Just drove 2,000 to see our son and we stayed in 4 Drury hotels. All of them were excellent from the rooms (we stay in a 1 bedroom suite), the kickback food/drinks, and kindness/professionalism of the staff. They do it right. Other hotels should learn from them.

Just bumping up; anyone know if the Drury Inn in Disney Springs is planning on opening anytime soon? The website is not letting me book for August 2022 and there has been no update that I see on the internet since Spring 2021 regarding an updated opening date. Thanks.

About a months ago I drove past it and it seemed like the one tower is almost finished.

Makes sense to me based on them stopping construction for so long and the overall situation. I wouldn't be surprised if they decided why open a partial hotel as the plan was while they built out the rest of the space. Now I imagine it will be fully open and convention ready.

The website has totally changed, and now we can actually see more info including amenities. I think lots of us were wondering if this location, being Disney, would include the special stuff and looks like it will.

It doesn't list one where the other fees are ... and I can't find one anywhere on the site.

But so far it won't let you attempt a booking and usually you can see it there. Be nice if there wasn't one!

Doubletree didn't have in past but do now. Don't stay there anymore.
