Spent the day relaxing and packing for our flight home tomorrow - booo!!!

Went for tea around 5:00 at Ponderosa and then did some last minute shopping at Walmart - 3 pairs of pj's.

Headed to the Grand Floridian for our Hallo-Wishes cruise. We were meeting Ian & Lynn (who had booked the cruise and advertised spaces) at the marina at 8:15.

Got there just after 8:15 as this hotel is big and we got completely lost parking and then finding the marina.

Found Ian and Lynn, who were also joined by Steve & Jackie plus their children and Claire & her partner (sorry can't remember your name).

We met our Captain Andy and boarded our boat. We reversed out of the dock, set sail and capput, the engine stopped. After a couple of tries restarting the engine (which looked like the scene from the Jaws ride where they can not get the boat in gear), it just would not start. We drifted for a while and another boat on their way out gave us a nudge to the side. Capt Andy tied us up and radio'd for help.

We waited for our rescue boat and along came a small boat by the name of 'Boston Whaler'. She tried to start us but was unsuccessful - it was time to ABANDON SHIP.

They decided to take us out on a smaller boat but we would not be able to have the music played in the boat during the fireworks. However, we were given a full refund.

Capt Andy ran down to get the other boat as the start of the fireworks was getting close.

On the way out, we caught some of the Electrical Water Parade which was nice and then after narrowly missing another boat, that Ian and DH had to point out to Capt Andy, we settled in for Hallo Wishes.

After the fireworks and persuading Capt Andy that he could take us for a ride round the lake and didnt have to head back, we went for a ride and Capt Andy told us some stories. He took us to see the Disney Bear that is built into the Wilderness Lodges.

We headed back to the Grand Floridian and said goodbye to Capt Andy. We all decided to go and have a beer in the hotel.

Whilst we had the disappointment of no music, the fireworks were great, as was the company. We really enjoyed ourselves and had a great laugh. Thanks to Ian & Lynn for organising the trip and letting us join the cruise.

Joking apart Capt Andy was 76 years old!!!! He did his best in a difficult situation which he had never encountered before and did give us a good laugh/scare. Thanks Capt Andy. :thumbsup2

After our beer we said farewell and headed over to Downtown Disney. Had a last look round, then headed back to POP.

Arrived back about 1:30 and we were tired but guess what, more people in the pool. 4 times we had to ring before everyone got out. Eventually got to sleep at around 2:50!!!!

Tomorrow - HOME :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:
