The driving system here is @ 16 you can take a written test to get your G-1, with that you can drive with a person whose had their full license for at least 5 years in the passenger seat. Then you can either do driving school and go for your G-2 8 months later, or skip driving school and wait a year to get your G-2, with you G-2 you can drive alone, drive on highways, but can't drive with more than one passenger after 12am or something like that...and you blood-alcohol level must be 0.
Then after a year of having your G-2, you can go get your G, which is your full license, the only difference being the amount of passengers you can have, and you must have a blood alcohol level that is at or below the legal limit.
I've had my G-2 for...almost 3 years, I have until 2010 to go for my G or else I have to go back and do it all over again. My bf just got his G yesterday, I could do it tomorrow if I wanted but it's just pretty much laziness. lol
I drive all the time, I have to drive to and from uni everyday in the school year, to and from work, to and from friends houses--as I don't live in the same area as most of my friends. I don't mind driving all that much. I really love driving in the country. When I go to my best friends house, it's an hour long country drive---it's wonderful though I love it. And when I go to my BFs uni campus, it's an hour long country drive and I absolutely LOVE it--especially in the summer
