We are driving down over two days and want to stop about half way there. Has anyone stayed anywhere along 1-75 between Macon and Valdosta? If so recommendations?

We stay at Comfort Suites, Byron GA. Just south of Macon. Nice hotel, indoor pools for the kids...but if you are leaving from KY instead of where we are (IN), you could probably do better to stop further south around Valdosta, which I don't have any experience with.

I'm sure others will have good suggestions for hotels further south.

Here are some resources..........

Use hotels.com and tripadvisor.com for reviews of any hotels you might use.

Use something like mapquest to figure out the towns between Macon and Valdosta and simply punch in those towns in the 2 websites.

BTW, it is a little less than 4 hours from Valdosta to WDW.

Hope this helps.

I think my girlfriend stayed in Valdosta at a Hampton Inn in August, I am not sure on that but I think so.

we stayed at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Located off I-75 at exit 18 with reasonable rates and close to Wild Adventures Water and Theme Park and the Valdosta Mall

Cordele (about an hour south of Macon) and Tifton (about 45 minutes south of Cordele and 45 minutes north of Valdosta) are the two major towns between Macon and Valdosta. Both have nearly all of the major hotel chains. We've stayed in both.
