My family and I drive down every summer from Toronto using Interstate 75 and on our 1st full day of driving we stop in Cleveland, Tennessee. On our 2nd day instead of arrivng to Clearwater Beach around 7:00 PM or 8:00 PM, we then drive all the way to Valdosta, Georgia. So the next day we can arrive there around 2:00 PM or 3:00 PM.
didn;t want to pay the high flights this time. We are close to Buffalo border and we decided to drive straight through
We made it on 21 hrs both ways, stopping twice to eat for about 45 minutes as well as gas 3-4 times. It also rained almost the whole way there and back. I would never drive straight through again although it wasn't as bad I we actually expected! We would leave around 5:00 am and drive until around 7:00 or 8:00 pm. This should take us to Georgia. We would stay the night and be in Disney right after lunch the next day. That's what I would recommend to anyone...day-time driving isn's so bad if your kids have activities to keep them busy and they can enjoy the scenery. Night-time driving is kinda scary
for many reasons...transports, deer, visibility if weather is bad, etc..
