We are staying off site but doing a character dining at Chef Mickey's one day for breakfast. Any tips on getting there, where to park etc? We will be coming from the Hampton Inn Orlando Maingate South I believe- as it is the day before we can get into our time share.

If your planning on going to the Magic Kingdom after your ADR I suggest parking at the TTC because the Contemporary parking lot is only for guests staying there and guests with ADR's and not for parking at the Magic Kingdom. Some people say if you go there after to valet park your car since you can leave your car in the valet lot all day, which has not been proven so I don't believe it and to me it's a cheap way of getting around the rules for parking at WDW and the Contemporary. Plus with the tip it's more expensive to valet park then to park at the TTC.

If your just going to Chef Mickey's and do not plan on going to the Magic Kingdom when your done, once you arrive at the Contemporary you would be given a 3 hour parking pass and the Cast Member working security would check your name on that days list of ADR's to make your on there and you might also be asked to show photo id. After that you can park in the regular lot, or pay $10.00 + tip to valet park.

You can park for up to 3 hrs, while eating. If you are planning on heading to the MK after breakfast, you have two choices. You can park at the TTC and take the monorail over to Chef Mickey's, and then walk to MK. Or you can valet park at the Contemporary, and walk over to MK. It will cost about the same, probably more to valet since you have to tip.
