Hi, great summary from Sympatico. We stay 3 months at Indian Ridge which is just east of Indian Creek a mile or so off Old Lake Wilson which parallels Formosa Gardens.
FG Blvd. becomes Sand Hill Road after the stop sign at Funie Steed and just before you get to Indian Creek.
For food shopping and a real neat easier drive we will turn RIGHT OR SOUTH out of Indian Creek and head south past Mystic Dunes golf on your left. Just past the golf course you will turn LEFT at stop sign with a viaduct on the right. Take this past Indian Ridge homes on right. At the next stop sign turn right on Old Lake Wilson...Now the fun starts...
You will go right by Reunion, which is one of the largest and most expensive housing developements in Florida. You will see 3 signature golf courses from Nicklaus, Palmer and Watson, and Condos that start at about 1/2 mil and homes that start at just under a mil.
When you get past Reunion you will see a CV Pharmacy and stop light...turn RIGHT and go straight into Champions Gate, which has two Greg Norman courses and is very high end and fun to see. Just past he big gates is a strip mall on the right with Publix that is not so crowded and some small business' and restaurants.
We like going there because you stay off 192 and see some pretty fancy real estate.
In October Disney should be medium pace...But if 192 is really busy, I have suggested people in Indian Ridge or Indian Creek go south on Sand Hill and instead of turning left at the viaduct go straight about 1/2 mile and pick up the brand new 429 interstate NORTH...it will take you to the brand new also Disney entrance off 429...absolutely NO traffic and really slick...it will cost about .25 cents each way, but well worth it especially at very busy times. Kind of interested in what the old pros think about all the new highway options south of Disney???
